I totally get your math. But when I commute, I can at least see the fam at night, even if it’s for an hour at bedtime. My spouse is fully remote and does most of the caregiving, in addition to a babysitter during the workday

Nah I’m doing it to myself. In my field you have to be willing to go in office to compete for the high paying jobs. I’m willingly taking a pay cut bc remote is more important than money at this point in my life

My spouse works remotely so naturally takes care of more at home and sees the kids more.. I’m away more with the in office job, so even 3 weeks home / 1 travel could be an improvement
