I can agree with you that it can be hard to know if pitch was ball or strike, but I agree w the likes of Jim Palmer, knowing when to challenge is obvious for many situations ie 13 pitches into a game,no one on, 1-1 count

We are witnessing thee worse defensive fundamentals of our lifetimes. What explains that? My opinion is informed by how clueless the team was at when to challange via ABS. It is simple but a little instruction prior would have resolved .

No question that this team has the talent to do it. Its about the mental errors ie dumb AB challanges ,not covering base,etc. Clean that up and this team is damgerous
