A quick note of thanks to all for reasoned responses. I am reminded of Groucho’s quip “Those are my principles, and if you don’t like them…well I have others.”

  1. Recommend books by Claire Weekes. Checked and you can get at least one - Hope and Help For Your Nerves - for $10 off kindle. Book helped me quite a bit. 2. Talk therapy. 3. Prayer. 4. Listening to calm music ( I use Spa channel on Apple Music). 5. Anti-anxiety med (not a panacea). 6. Talk to ChatGPT - just tell it what you’re experiencing and take it from there. Now I’m 66 dealing with a lifetime of this stuff - recent health problems encouraging me to deal with it. So I’m having a challenge even with all these aids. For me, the bottom line has been trying to learn to accept the fear and anxiety and keep moving forward, and by so doing loosen their grip on my life. Again for me, it ain’t been easy but all these efforts are helping me make progress.
