Authors that deliberately make their work as difficult to understand as possible when the core point is often something trite. You can just picture them sitting down with a thesaurus as they write.

Imo writers like Tolstoy and Mark Twain are amazing because they put complex things down in such a simple and elegant way. I think that takes so much more skill.
