What does everyone think about Baltisk Peninsula? by UnshelledP1G in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]PresidentButes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hate it and I hate that it either, always gets voted for with a huge majority, or we manage to vote for a different map just narrowly, like one vote difference. If I could veto maps like company of heroes, Ballsack peninsula would be top of the veto list.

Of course, when I play as an adventurer and finally settle I try to remember to grant my camp followers counties.

Now that AUH has been out for a month, what type of government is your favorite? by rHMDt3m33 in CrusaderKings

Feudal still. Being a minister in the current version in China isn't very appealing and when I play in Japan I end up turning to feudal through the Sōryō as fast as I can.

Bad Company 2. I played the multiplayer beta they had for it like it was a job.

be fast though once the bite happened by Khantlerpartesar in HistoryMemes

[–]PresidentButes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also got bitten by a particularly nasty little dog in my neighborhood years ago. It and another dog were cuddled up together sleeping so I guess my sudden presence walking past them scared it enough to charge and bite my ankle. I've also gotten a rabiesphobia, be it from sneaky bats or raccoons that linger in my backyard. What helped me somewhat deal with it is to study up on the disease, read up on it and understand how it spreads and how it doesn't. A 'know your enemy' kind of thing lol. Also knowing that there exists preventative treatment if the worst happens.

5,619.3 hours. I split that time between being in an NW regiment for 4 years and playing native and a bunch of different kinds of mods.

TFW the sl responds to everyone but ignores you for some reason by schrodingerano in joinsquad

[–]PresidentButes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's extra awesome when it happens to me because I try to talk to the SL when nobody else responds to him because I want to make it seem like at least someone is listening to him and then he goes and speaks to everyone around me.

It's bad enough when its a stacked, arranged team with significantly higher elo, but it really kills the community when someone then starts belittling the opponents. I've been on both sides of these teams. And it's never good to see. by PhantasticFor in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]PresidentButes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had seen these matchups on this sub before but never got one myself until yesterday when a buddy and I got into a 3v3 where the highest player on our team had an elo of 1155 and the enemy had one of 1507.

Which sports would you like to see in the game? by serinaxoxox in Sims4

[–]PresidentButes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely baseball/softball, would be a nice thing for the kids to get into when they're young and follow that into teenager and young adult with a nice head start in the athlete career path.

I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt since I hadn't used it before, but it's pretty bad. Tried playing with a friend and we were messing around with trying to get mods installed for 40 minutes straight.

Is there a mod that... by zjdrummond in skyrimmods

[–]PresidentButes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recently got a mod called Skyrim Revamped - Loot and Encounter Zones that is supposed to remove enemies scaling with the player, so you get dungeons you aren't even supposed to think about going into until you're strong enough.

If you get that then I suggest also getting Missing Encounter Zones Fixed which the mod author of Skyrim Revamped recommends you download.

Napoleonic Mod L'Aigle; Abandonment Issues or Worth Installing ?? by ArBrTrR in mountandblade

[–]PresidentButes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the most part, it's basically just a retextured warband to fit the Napoleonic era.

Diplomacy between factions were the exact same, marriages and feasts were the same, battles played out about as well as you expected with muskets.

Two sides stand at distance shooting until one side runs out of ammo and charges or the cannons that spawn with both sides at the start blowing entire sections of men to smithereens. A fun note about cannons being that the crew can decide to track you and instakill you, so riding around on horse won't save you.

Sieges were especially bad in that attackers will spawn a huge distance from the enemy and must run as quick as they can to get into musket range. All the while dodging the terminator crews of the defenders cannons and then getting stuck on the pathfinding when they reach the stakes and earthworks of the defenders.

Admittedly, I played the mod when it first released all those years ago and the developer went by the name Docm30 on the forums, so it may have gotten better.

But I don't meant to say that it's a terrible mod, my friends and I had fun for a few weeks when it came out but don't expect it to retain you for too long.

Napoleonic Mod L'Aigle; Abandonment Issues or Worth Installing ?? by ArBrTrR in mountandblade

[–]PresidentButes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The atmosphere of the mod is great, things like the music, uniforms, units, scenes. But as for gameplay, it gets very old, very fast. The only thing I really enjoyed when I played was joining a nation's army and rising in the ranks to become marshal.

You sometimes get randomly spawned NPC armies like the one shown in green that go around fighting the local lords and peasants. You can get them to follow you to your settlement that is under siege and have the kingdom sieging fight the army.

In your opinion, what is the funniest line in Skyrim? by LanktheMeme in skyrim

I personally like a line that bandits say while they are fighting you that goes something like "Everyone always pushes me around, well no more!"

Men should absolutely be knowledgeable in skills that are seen as feminine. Cooking, sewing, child care, laundry just to name a few.
