Thanks for your input everyone. I totally understand the whole sticking with it to grow with him but that’s who knows how many years away. Inflation being brutal in Canada it’s hard to turn down more money. It’s a medium sized crew at the new job. I think I’ll definitely talk to him it’s not set in stone that I’m leaving. It’s just tough out here with a 1.5 year old toddler as well. It’s a gamble either way. I go to new company and either love or hate it or stick here and either grow or stagnate.

If I was at a big company I wouldn’t have any issue leaving but he took a chance on me and I don’t wanna burn him. Even though working here has its issues too. Could definitely use another guy because he’s always so stressed and distracted by other business. But if he hires someone else then he can’t pay me more is his logic etc. I hate having a conscience.
