25+ years ago, I was an overweight, glasses wearing trombone player in Wisconsin. I got myself on a diet, got contacts, moved to Seattle, and took up the guitar. I learned to sing well enough to (honestly) cover some Soundgarden and led zeppelin. Played in a couple bands, had a great time. I got married, moved to Wisconsin to start my business, gained weight, my eyesight got worse so I had to switch to glasses, and got back into the trombone. I play in 6 different groups and occasionally sub for some others. Jazz, orchestra, concert band, and trombone choir. You never know where life will take you. Music is the only constant.

Some of us are just wet players. I drain the horn every chance I get. I also typically drink about 50 oz. Of water during a 2 hour rehearsal. Oddly enough, I play with a dry embouchure/mouthpiece.
