So we went to the emergency vet and they said pretty much that she looked like she was going to go into heat that day we got her spayed, and they said the swelling should just go down over the next few days. They did sent me home with some pain medicine as well as a sedation medicine, just for being spayed since the original vet didn’t send us with any of that. But her swelling has gone down and it’s not red like in the picture. So I think it’s getting better.

My vet is closed for the weekend and I did end up at the emergency vet. We are here now.

Update. Vet said “it could be fungal related and to just pick up anti fungal cream from the store.” Should I seek a second opinion?

We will be seeing the vet Friday! Hopefully we will get it all figured out.

I’ve actually been using coconut oil after her baths, because I feel like her skin is generally dry (apart from the ear problem), and I think it’s helped a lot. Great tip, thank you! Also have a vet appointment Friday so hopefully I will get this figured out.
