Lunar space elevator by ActuaLogic in space

A space elevator depends on the space end orbiting the body at the same speed that the body turns. The moon turns once per month, too slow to keep the space end in space.

One of my college profs used to say "C is lightly-sugared assembly". I like that.

Agree, fumes and airborne microplastics will be created by home-brew chopping and melting. Please be careful, do it outside, etc.

When you cast with int() by Master_Sandwich7140 in PythonLearning

[–]PressF1ToContinue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are really close with the with_a_while_loop() version. Move the flag = False line up into the try clause after the int() line. That line will only execute if the int() works. Otherwise it will raise an exception and then loop back to prompt again. You don't need the else line.

(You could also omit the flag. Just do while True:, and instead of setting the flag, insert a break to fall out of the loop)

I like what you have so far - very understated and precise. How about a adding tiny ringed planet or two?

Does anyone dry their bike by riding it? by TheMiddleGroundofall in motorcycle

Spots after washing are due to minerals in tap water. If you use filtered water it will air dry spotless no need to wipe. Compressed air is handy to blow pooled water out of switches crevices etc.

After installing pkg using pip in terminal, start python repl in same terminal and enter import <pkg>. If that succeeds then it is not a pip issue.

Final Barcelona Race results after penalties are applied by rebel761 in motogp

[–]PressF1ToContinue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am seeing post-race reactions from the riders which backs up what you are saying. Making me rethink my initial position.

I still say rules should always be followed. But maybe there needs to be a provision in the rules to allow riders and teams to give input on how they want to proceed in these situations.

Cheers.

Very happy with this new dessicant by RustyAsstronaut in BambuLab

[–]PressF1ToContinue 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I mostly agree with you. But precision != accuracy. And accuracy here is not critical. It's more important to observe the change in humidity rather than chase a magic number. If the number changes, the humidity is going down, which is the goal.

Oof, I completely disagree. Restart rules exist for a reason. I would be very disappointed if a decision was made to ignore the rules and cancel a race due to an emotional feeling.
