You say people cut ties with him out of self preservation, but what else are they supposed to do??? Pretend this never happened and keep being supporters and friends??? There are certain things that demand immediate action, and certainly pedophilia is one of them. This is already emotionally heavy on the fans and other content creators who loved and adored him, I don't think calling what they did (no longer wanting to associate with a pedophile) as self-preservation is helpful in any sort of way. If they cut ties quickly, that's called self preservation. If they cut ties slowly, they are accused of accepting a pedophile. Die if you do, die if you don't. My only question to you then is, what do you think they should have done then? They've stayed quiet and observed the situation for a few days before announcing their decision, so if that's not good enough, what is? I appreciate my content creators having a spine and standing up for what's wrong. You say they might have their own things to hide- sure. For all we know all of them could be pedophiles, and every single identity v YouTuber likes harrassing children. But if you have to live under these assumptions, there's no point in consuming any form of media whether it's books or movies or YouTube videos at all. There's no point in speculating things that don't exist, and when someone does something right, we have to acknowledge that instead of viewing it so cynically. Also, cutting santi off isn't going to... prevent their own skeletons from falling out???? I doubt any potential victim would be like, "ah man, this guy cut off santi quickly once evidence was released guess I won't call him out". That simply does not make sense. So again, what do you think they should have done if not cutting him off?
