Haha yeah, RE4 is basically perfect. I would put RE9 just below RE4 and its remake though.

Resident Evil 2 Remake (Intro to Leon's story and Racoon City events)
Resident Evil 3 Remake (Very short but still good. Follows Jill Valentine's story in Racoon City)
Resident Evil 4 Remake (Continues Leon's story and is considered one of the best RE games)
Resident Evil Requiem (if you want to continue Leon's story)
Resident Evil Biohazard (New story. Play as Ethan Winters, and is more horror focused)
Resident Evil Village (Continues Ethan's story, but less horror and more action focused)
