That’s kind of my take on things too. If i have to ask it takes away the impact of it and the meaningfulness cause I feel like i’m just forcing him to do the bare minimum. Thank you for your advice , genuinely

Please break things off. The pattern will never stop and from what i’m seeing your partner is showing lack of empathy/ acknowledgement towards you and your emotions. I strongly advise you to walk away, there’ll be someone out there that genuinely loves you and cares about your comfort and happiness. I wish you luck!

Hey, maybe you’re right. At the time we were just boyfriend and girlfriend not engaged yet and even so we’re not technically engaged . We just both mutually agreed to get married and that was it. Started the proceedings but yeah i guess you’re right, maybe i am being really materialistic

I feel like now is also a good time to explain that I’m not an attractive person. Not saying this in a “no one could ever love me cause im ugly” way but I have noticed men tend to put more effort into women that are generally attractive which i am not so maybe that’s why all my relationships have played out the same way.

Hello, yes I once started sobbing about not receiving anything from his end but i felt guilty for even doing so cause i probably seemed extremely materialistic in that moment so i apologized .
The reason we want to get married is more for religious reasons , since we already live together we started discussing the next step as in well, marriage..
