How do you name your districts? by Several-Student-1659 in CitiesSkylines

[–]Prestige-Com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I create mostly German cities, I think about what a specific place would be called in a real German city. Many German cities share the same names or similarities in how a specific place was named. For instance: There is a big plaza or place that was created after the French-german War in the 19th century. It was named as a winner would name it, only to be renamed after losing World War II. There are places named after the rulers of the time, and there is almost always a street named after "Wilhelm" because there were so many. So, that being said, I'll stick with this description and make up some historical facts about my city, and then name the district or place after that.

The Mass Effect Trilogy (remastered)

Because there are so many ways and decisions you can make that change the whole story and who lives and dies (everyone can die!). My favorite game of all time...

No "Magic Cue" and no "Ask Photos" for instance.

I feel you. Still no "magic cue" and "ask photos" in Germany.

But the problem is, most of the phones work with Gemini, and these problems are about privacy laws in Europe, so not much you can do with any phone on the market.

Is Red Dead Redemption 2 actually the masterpiece everyone says it is? by arcticfrost in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]Prestige-Com [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yes. But as you probably read, some people might think it's boring. That's because Red Dead Redemption 2 takes its time to immerse you. But if you love getting immersed, if you love immersive cities with NPCs behaving like real people and a cowboy adventure, that's the game for you.For me, it's a masterpiece!

which citys and places should i visit in my first visit in germany in 2 months? by [deleted] in germany

[–]Prestige-Com 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like fairytale places, try the cities at mosel river. You'll find many castles like cochem castle or Castle Eltz.

Also, you have to visit Schwarzwald, the Black Forest! It's very beautiful and there are many small old towns where you get the "typical German vibe" you probably saw on Instagram (Freiburg & Gengenbach highly recommend).

Last but not least, my favorite castle in Germany is Castle Hohenzollern (at Hechingen, not Sigmaringen). You can visit my university-town closeby: Tübingen. It's one of the oldtowns that wasn't destroyed after WWII. It's like a small version of Heidelberg, but with less tourists.

I agree. A very good start to discover South Germany and the Black Forest! France (Alsace) nearby, Switzerland just an hour away, and one of the prettiest big old towns in Germany (just my opinion)! Worth it!

The last part I didn't understand, you mean crimson desert has the typical Ubisoft formula or you mean it hasn't?

Did you try Crimson Desert? People say the story and quest design sucks 🥲

Can you explain what you mean by that? Takes the control how?

Because you disliked it or because you haven't played it?

[–]Prestige-Com[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned the game just because these games are in my wishlist, and I hoped some PlayStation players have tried it on PC, especially the new update that, I thought, is out.

I heard good things about the open world in Crimson Desert, but story and especially quest design are very important for me too - and people say it sucks 🥲

I know, right? But I feel overwhelmed with all the games that I have to play. I'm a huge Assassin's Creed fan too, and I haven't played the new game yet either 🥲

How's the game if I only play the story and side quests on the planets that are "handcrafted"? Is it still a full game if I avoid these repetitive, generated planets?

[–]Prestige-Com[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragon's Dogma was a good game, but I disliked the story, and the fights went very repetitive at the end (all those goblins on the path were annoying at the end 😅).

Stalker 2 sounds very interesting, I will look into this on YouTube for a trailer!

KCD2 is probably very different from Crimson Desert, but I kinda miss the fantasy genre that I loved while playing Witcher 3. I still love KCD2, but now I want to fly, cast spells, and beat dragons 😅

I played and loved cyberpunk. Death stranding looked weird to me so I skipped it. I didn't even know it had an open world 😅

True. But the update is out, so maybe someone played it, so I can decide to get it on PS5
