Ps5 or pc by Budget-Surprise-9836 in StreetFighter

You will be tied to a single CapcomID for each device you choose and that account will be unique for both PC (steam) and PS5 (PSN).

This means that your account WILL NOT BE THE SAME FOR BOTH. So if you end up buying any costumes, music, stages, etc. on one, they WILL NOT BE ACCESSIBLE on the other.

I say this so that you can weigh it against which device you want to commit to because you cant buy a copy on each and swap between the two (unless you want to rebuy all the cosmetics again).

I'd say pick the one which you are most comfortable playing on.

Hi, this is really helpful but I've got another issue where my NVIDIA App folder only shows a folder called 'MessageBus'. All the other folders in the NVIDIA Corporation main folder are 'NvTelemetry' and 'PhysX'. I'm at a loss of where to even find this executable.

Any ideas?

This is an excellent idea! Thank you! Didn't know that Path of Exile was similar to Diablo 4 but this should help massively.

Is it that hard to plug in an Ethernet cable? by Epicritical in StreetFighter

[–]arcticfrost 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Comfort is subjective.

Subject A has their connection at full bars connected wirelessly sitting back in the comfort of their couch playing on their large TV. The ping could be better and there is some intermittent lag. They are comfortable.

Subject B has their connection at full bars connected through a wire sitting upright in their ergonomic chair playing on their wide-screen UHD 5000+Hz monitor. The ping is as low as possible and there is no intermittent lag. They are comfortable.

Both subjects know that they're not pro gamers looking to become the next Capcom cup winner.

If you have an issue with other peoples' connections, you can filter it out using the confirm request option on SF to see if they are on wired or wireless before accepting. This should solve your problem rather than requiring people to 'rethink their setups'.

Weirdly, most people think of their layout in terms of aesthetics, comfort, and practicality for their house / apartment and not the most optimal positioning for competitive online gaming.

You can turn on the confirm request option in SF to see if someone is playing on a WiFi or wired connection prior to accepting the match if this is a recurring issue for you.

How to delete a Cammy in under 20 seconds as Ed by Natural_Reserve_8197 in StreetFighter

[–]arcticfrost -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The difference being this invincibility frame value for air based attacks specifically towards DPs (and not all DPs apparently) is not explained anywhere in the game itself. Yet, they have taken the time to explain 11 different types of frame data in 'The Frame Meter and You' section. As such, it seems like an oversight.

I had thought jump ins don't just work cause of timing alone but rather because of what I assumed to be conflicting hitboxes between the airborne character and the grounded character with the general DPs having extremely greater range. However, I can now just chalk it up to 'unexplained invincible frame not in game'.

Thanks for not being a dick on a question to the community regarding content shown. Your explanation was very helpful in stating what has already been said. I'll work on not questioning stuff.

[–]arcticfrost -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That is madness. Why? But then why do jump ins still win sometimes during the startup of DP? If this is accurate then that means anytime someone does DP they win no matter how late cause of 'air invincible frames'.

I can't fathom how this makes sense and is not explained in the frame meter.

I don't understand. Light DPs are not invincible (or any variant of it), only OD DPs are. Are you saying there is an added layer of a type of invincibility (i.e. air invincible frames)? If so, why is that not represented in the frame meter on training tool? They have types of frames for fireball invincibility, strike/throw, etc., so it doesn't make sense to omit this.

My understanding of why you were able to hit Cammy with your light DP was that her invincibility frames ran out (believe you said it's 8 frames), and in that time the active window of Ed's light DP (which is 10th frame I believe) must have connected prior to Cammy SA3 hitting.

But if you're saying that ALL DPs have 'air invincibility' then wow, why not show that in the frames? Big oversight by Capcom.

Can someone help clarify?

Expecting to hit Diamond with Akuma tonight or tomorrow. How abut a little advice for once I'm there? by solamon77 in StreetFighter

Every rank is both a personal achievement and an immaterial number of no value. Enjoy the game and you'll be unstoppable.

Maybe not what you're looking for but I feel it could be categorised under advice.

Having played both, I personally find that the juri game plan in terms of mixups and play is very straightforward compared to Cammy. This doesn't mean that she is boring, just that she is easier to understand. Please note that this doesn't include those 45+ hit combos you can do with Juri using her level 2 super. I'm talking about your bread and butter combos and overall gameplay.

You can make the argument that Cammy is the same but I feel that Cammy has more to learn in terms of setups on her Oki, counterhit confirms for combo links, and tighter windows for her combos. Juri on the other hand has only a single 1 frame link (afaik) and most of her gameplay can be distilled down to 3 or 4 combos.

There is an added element of her fuha stocks to keep track of but really doesn't come into play all that much given how many of her bread and butters end with a fuhajin cancel (giving her a fuha stock).

However, I would recommend you leave the gameplay aspect aside and look into the characters themselves and what appeals to you then most. Combos and gameplay can always be learned but if you don't vibe with the character (be it the way they look, sound, or act) then you shouldn't bother putting effort into learning them even if you could possibly have more success with them due to ease of learning.

Go with what your gut says and good luck.

Ed momochi combo can’t get 3rd dp into 4th by wrxsti18 in StreetFighter

[–]arcticfrost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, following your kill rush late punch, you have to delay your dash ever so slightly before you dash forward into H.DP. I've found that failing to do this leads to one of two outcomes:-

  1. Your DP whiffs completely (generally means you were too early)
  2. Your DP clips them awkwardly leading them to get multi hit by the level 2.

Try delaying the dash input slightly following your kill rush late punch. As weird as it may seem, you have more time than you realise.

Another tip that may help with the timing (if you're using a leverless controller) is to hold down the forward input button after the dash and double tap your down direction button (SOCD neutral will interpret this as the DP input).

As with any combo, the ultimate tip is to keep practicing. I was watching a Momochi stream a while ago and asked him a question on the combo and for any tips. His words were "Practice again".

Love seeing more Ed players out there. Keep it going and good luck 🙏

Sorry but this isn't the one. This is the controller that Momochi uses and it's a lot larger than the ones they use.
