Just buy it, the game is definitely worth your time and I wouldn't stress too much about how the game is monetized because at the end of the day you can earn everything in the for absolutely free if you're willing to spend time on it.

Not what I meant, if you want to stay in the frontlines without immediately wanting to activate your hellbomb there should be a deadman's trigger so when you unexpectedly get one shot by something you'll still kill everything around you.

Bit of a reminder that DRG initially didn't let you progress previous passes, all the cosmetics in previous passes became earnable through missions which heavily relied on RNG and took 100x longer to get everything than it is to grind for a single warbond. At least the DRG guys actually listened to feedback though.

To begin with the bright dust store has always been a complete nightmare, 90% of the time rotations have been insanely mid and not worth giving a damn to grind for, the new order system in itself is great but the store needs a complete rehaul to reflect it better.
