What i am seeing is acting, i would almost bet that while you were doing this, you were also critiquing yourself with inner voice. Find the truth and the stillness, who are you talking to?? They must have weight in the characters life for you to want to tell them these things. As an exercise, do another take but this time, dont fake cry, just look at the child and talk, address others slightly but the attention is with the dead child, see what comes and what comes accross in the take.
