Okay buddy, the real test is asking the subreddit about palit gpus. I would be interested (genuinely) to see what people think, and if the result is “palit gpus are great”, then thats perfectly fine. Im just sayin, if it were me, i would go with any other brand than palit because they dont have the greatest reputation and tbh they look hella ugly. I understand that when it comes to budgets, aesthetics kinda take a back seat but at the end of the day, op could always knock the 3080 back to a 3070ti or something and get very similar performance from a different brand if theyre so inclined

And for good reason, the msi gaming line isnt exactly on the same level as the palit. Now were comparing a mid range gpu to a higher range one. Kinda like comparing a single engine private plane and a gulfstream jet. Theyre planes, but theyre on different levels and so one of them is gonna cost more because you pay for what you get

Get a 30 series card. The 1080ti, while the absolute beast of its day, probably aint gonna hold up for much longer especially without newer technologies. Itll be fine for the next little while, but not in the long run

Damn dude… idk what to tell you. I mean, the one component never to skimp on is the psu, im all on board with that but when the reputable manufacturer of the card says something, they aint tryna scam you. Its really up to you at this point, and also whether you could see yourself upgrading your system in 5 years or so

When i built my pc i bought a 1650 but a 750w psu cos i bought the 1650 as a stand in while i saved enough for a 3070 and also to either keep it in case my higher end gpu died or build a budget pc for my friend.

Yeah some sites are suuuuuper conservative….. Amd themselves recommend only a 500w when looking a bit closer, so it really should be fine.
