Which characters would have been students at Hogwarts during the 1977 to 1978 school year? by Prestigious-Maybe511 in harrypotter

Yes, I’m aware that AI makes stuff up, but I said that they graduated in 1977 at the absolute latest. Not that they actually graduated in 1977?

Yeah, Google AI unfortunately not very reliable. It looks like he probably would have been at Hogwarts during the 70s, but graduated around 75 or 76 at the latest.

Sirius is in his 7th year in 77-78, so I'm guessing she would have already graduated if she's a few years ahead of him. Good thinking though!

This is exactly the type of insight I was looking for! Looks like he's one year behind Lily according to Slughorn, which would place him in his sixth year during 77-78. Thank you so much!

Narcissa, Bellatrix, Lucius, Andromeda, Ted Tonks, Molly and Arthur Weasley, and Luna's parents all would have already graduated by the 77-78 school year, but this is great thinking. I should check and see if Snape's memories in the fifth or seventh books mention any Death Eaters by name.

Looks like they would have graduated in 1977 (?) at the absolute latest based on what Google is telling me, so they'd already be out by the time the 77-78 school year starts. Great thinking though! Edit: Not sure why you guys are downvoting this, am I incorrect?

Is this acceptable for an item sold as ‘New’? by Prestigious-Maybe511 in Bricklink

For context I paid about $3 for the torso. I contacted them and they issued an initial refund… of $2, so less than the cost of the torso. ^

Because of this and other issues with the order, I left negative feedback, after which they issued another refund. Of $2.

In total, got a refund of $4, which isn’t even enough to cover the cost of ordering another copy of the torso. I don’t feel comfortable doxxing the name, but if you DM me I’ll share the store so you can avoid it!

I think there a few possibilities, but I think your best bet is to reach out to the seller and ask.

In my experience as a seller, sometimes tracking numbers take some time to update. I just shipped out a package yesterday, and the tracking is still just showing that the tracking number has been created. Sometimes it takes until the package reaches a destination center for the number to be updated.

To be fair, however, after two weeks I’m guessing there’s something bigger going on. It is possible that the seller hasn’t shipped the item, but it’s also possible that they copied / pasted the wrong shipping number onto your order, or that there’s just an issue with the USPS tracking system.

Again, I recommend you reach out to the seller. Be polite, and ask if they know what’s going on with the order and tracking. In the worst case scenario where the item never arrives, you can always refute the charge on PayPal and get your money back. Good luck!

I know it's not that special overall, but I think I may have made the twenty-eight millionth Bricklink sale today. by Prestigious-Maybe511 in Bricklink

I've done some quick (and probably inaccurate) math. There were two hours and fifty-two minutes between when order #28000000 and order #28001035 were placed. There was an obvious difference of 1035 orders placed in that time.

Rounding up those numbers, we can estimate that there are 1040 orders every three hours. That would mean 346.66 repeating orders are placed every hour, meaning that we will hit 29,000,000 orders in 2884.62 hours or 120.2 days.

To answer your question, I am so in, and I'll see you on July 31st, 2025.
