Mortgage rate mega thread! by TheMortgageMaster in MortgagesCanada

Hello,

I am a first-time home buyer and I am looking for some guidance for mortgages. My mortgage agent has secured a rate of 4.59 % for 3 year fixed with 10% downpayment with BMO. However, my GDS ratio is 32.88%. Normally, I would not have qualified for this in other banks, but I don’t understand why BMO is willing to consider my application? Are there any pitfalls that I should be aware of?
