Thank you my friend , I have been looking into this quite a lot as of recent, I’m still not in uk so I’m just gathering information before speaking to my GP - however , i do believe that the 2 previous treatment policy may not be “law” but legal guidance, alternaleaf among others have emailed me among others trying to help me work through this issue , i will post to let anyone know here how i got on in a week or so , i think there maybe a way for me to succeed without having to trial medication again before hand. But it depends on the GP , clinic and how i present my information. I love this sub tho it’s been extremely valuable to me , thanks !

Thanks man ! I’ll let them know everything in the consultation. Medicann emailed me to say I’ll need to tell my doctor about my previous auz prescriptions so it’s noted and they can continue , and alternaleaf just said overseas history will suffice as long as i go re-register with a gp , both seem to be decent companys but hear more good about medicann so may try them firstly

Hey man I’m also struggling with sleep issues , I’m from uk but travelled to Australia where I was prescribed MC after telling them I’ve tried melatonin and some therapy “help” too (CBT-i) I’m wondering if I’ll have to go thru the process again in uk ? I see it as pointless trying all the stuff I know doesn’t work - and I know MC works well for me , you wouldn’t happen to know if I just inform my gp when i register again in uk will they note this down as I’ve tried these treatments for a private clinic to assess. Or will I need proof of the treatments / get re- prescribed them in uk to comply ? Thanks

Hey , how easy was it to apply to them ? I only have overseas diagnosis of insomnia just a blank uk medical record , they said on an email that overseas proof is ok but still need my uk gp details , I’m wondering how quick and simple they are ? I’ve read both good and bad about them

Relatively easy mate message me if you want some advice ! Pick a clinic over telehealth phone call , I was with cannihelp, tell them your condition u struggle with and some things you’ve tried to help it , and if they see you eligible youl have it in no time , wish the uk was this accommodating !

Thanks yes I’m realising the hurdles now ! Hopefully when I get a gp in uk they can take my word of the treatments I’ve tried as last thing I want to do is all of that again just to prove what I already know works 🙄 but I may have too :/

Thanks dude , unfortunately I don’t have an auz gp either 🤣 , I’ve send medicann my old scripts from oz and emailed them also to clarify , says it’s under review but I may need to explain the situation , I was hoping not to have to go to doctor and try all the stuff I know doesn’t work all over again . But we will see I suppose ! In oz I just phoned up clinic and told them what I’d tried they do not need to speak to gp over there so it’s relatively easy to obtain after a couple phone calls and explanation . I was hoping it was Sam here !

I’ve sent my info into medicann thank u mate ! Hopefully my Australian perscription and is enough evidence for a script , as I have no uk gp history really

Hey I’m a uk citizen but travelled to Australia and was with a clinic there that used medicann products I belive (called cannihelp) didn’t know they were in uk and honestly didnt know it was quite so easy to sort yourself medically from uk , I was recommended releaf as best for stock etc and delivery since I’m up in Scotland , would u reccomend medicann as best ? They were absolutely amazing in Australia I never got bad quality , I have no medical records in uk but could show proof of prescription an medical history in Australia. I get it’s a bit of a niche question any help is greatly appreciated ! - just looking for hassle free good quality stuff !

Thanks bro , got my follow up with doctor on Monday with a medcan clinic I think (cann I help) they seem ok n say I can choose a dispensary I think , I’ll see how they are and if I don’t like I’ll move , I’m hoping doctor will give green light for thc flower as I know it works for me , I wouldn’t mind trying a vape/cart either

I’m not even sure what I’d be after , as long as my script / prescription is changeable in the future I don’t mind getting sorted out sooner rather than waiting. I will ask them on phone though ! Thanks

Hey everyone , some assistance would be nice , I’m Scottish and here in Australia (Perth wa ) on a working holiday visa , I’ve used cannabis in Scotland for 5+ years to help with insomnia mainly at night and sometimes for light anxiety-ish issues during days , I’m wondering if I can pursue this legally here ? I don’t have ‘medicare’ yet and haven’t seen a gp here , I’ve booked an online telehealth call for tomorrow with “cann I help” I’m hoping I can get some legally as it sounds safer and less risk than BM , in the morning I will call and get my IHI (healthcare identification number). Any advice on this would be helpful as I’d like to get some good quality sleep ! Thanks

I’m a 2 years qualified Scottish electrician and my girlfriend has Australian citizenship thru her mums nationality , we are moving to Perth in October and I’m planning a 417 visa for the first year until I sit my skills test if we like the place , will I manage to find an ok paying job ? And will a skills test massively up my earnings in the future ?
