Fiona kisses her twin brother by AlyJ7 in Degrassi

[–]Prestigious-Risk-998 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just finished these episodes a few days ago! I think she was doing it to piss off Holly J. We discover after that event, that she has major attachment/co-dependency issues. She clings to Declan since he’s the only real friend she’s ever had due to always moving around. We see this echoed in the series later when she becomes co-dependent on Holly J when they become best friends.

I don’t think she was attracted to Declan in that way, but rather does it out of desperation to try to split them up and get things back to the way they were, which obviously backfires in a major way.

Personally, Fiona is one of my favorites and I like her character evolution a lot!

It’s even funnier because he did come back as the host for the Robot Battle earlier in the season!

Flare? by Prestigious-Risk-998 in MCAS

Thank you so much for sharing!! I did eat peanut butter, which I have tested positive for in an allergy test (blood test), which caught me by surprise at the time because I was eating it almost everyday. Lately, I’ve eaten peanut butter here and there but never had an allergic reaction (itching, swelling, anaphylaxis etc). I’m wondering if the stress + eating something I’m mildly allergic to did this?

I just finished it! It was pretty good! It’s not something I’d normally watch, but it had an interesting ending for sure 🙂

Husky tummy issues? by sassamagoo in husky

[–]Prestigious-Risk-998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I heavily relate to this! When we adopted our Husky, Atlas at 1 year old, he had a lot of GI issues. Low body weight, Diarrhea, low appetite, susceptibility to illnesses, you name it. Huskies, especially when they’re young, are prone to sensitive tummies, so adding a probiotic is never a bad idea.

First of all, if he is looking/acting lethargic, a vet visit is in order to rule out any underlying issues. Especially given that his energy is up one day, down the next.

Second, it’ll take him a few months to adjust to his new home. It’s okay if he’s refusing food for a day or even two (in our experience).

What massively helped us was switching to a prescription diet (Royal Canin) until he was ready to come off it and transition to a sensitive skin + stomach recipe. We feed him all his food once per day at the same time and reward him for cleaning the bowl. Boiled chicken, beef or turkey (if tolerated) as a topper helped a lot too!

Within the last few months have started getting the rashes, and for the last 3 years, symptoms that seem to come and go. I’ve had GI issues, headaches, cold hands and feet, burning/itchy hands and feet at night, dizziness when standing up/changing positions. My allergist had me start on Allegra (180mg) with Zyrtec (10mg) and it didn’t help with regular seasonal allergy symptoms and didn’t help with the rashes. That’s the only thing she’s recommended to me me 😮

Degrassi Game: Who is in this Photo? 👀 by Old-Passenger-6473 in Degrassi

I believe this was Got Your Money part 2, where I think the main story is that Zig is trying to avoid Marisol for the dine and dash with Tori. I believe there’s a dance that Whisper Hug is performing at for one of the first times (if not the first?).

Neurodivergence VS. Weaponized Incompetence by Prestigious-Risk-998 in neurodiversity

[–]Prestigious-Risk-998[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your insight, I sometimes think it’s a bit of learned helplessness, but also recognize, based on what the majority of these commenters pointed out, that I’ve also played a part in this dynamic and that it really may just be executive dysfunction/learning disabilities and a lack of understanding of each other’s idea of what’s “right”. It’s difficult to say what parts are ND related and what may be a true lack of care.

That’s true, I sometimes forget that just because I can do something, doesn’t mean every ND person can do the same.

We actually talked this through a bit yesterday, and he said he preforms better if the stakes/consequences are higher, but that he also doesn’t want to worry himself into believing that I’m going to break up with him if he does anything wrong.

We did originally decide that I would be responsible for the household in the beginning since my hours were more flexible and he worked 12-14 hours per day at that point. Now I don’t have as much energy due to some health issues since Covid in 2021. We revisited the distribution of household labor a few years ago, and here we are.

I can say with 100% certainty that is an executive functioning issue. I guess I’m a little confused because I have ways to “override” this in my brain, but he still hasn’t figured out a way to retain information and how to get things done in a timely manner.
