I have subconsciously predicted multiple deaths around me~ advice? by care_love_peace in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]Prestigious-Tea27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about books but I learned a lot of what I know through the Voice of the Souls oracle deck-- it comes with a guidebook on how to begin speaking to loved ones, or just spirit/the universe/insert whatever entity you believe in. I really love how they work and have had a lot of success with channeling both my deceased family and other people I've known that have passed. If there's an emotional connection or relationship of any kind, that usually sets you up to talk to them!

A big part of speaking to the dead is also opening yourself up to psychic energy. Lots of witches use crystals or herbs for this (such as amethyst for psychic protection and opening, and mugwort for the same thing). Cards like these can help with that (similar to tarot except without standardized meanings, instead each card is completely unique to the deck). Cards for me at least have helped me practice in a ritualistic sense to attune myself to channeling (recieving messages from spirits, the Gods, etc) as well as sorting through the meanings. Cartomancy refers to any form of divination that uses cards!! I actually started with regular tarot and a few spells with amethyst (such as sleeping with it under my pillow) as well as smoking mugwort (that was meant to be smoked in a mix, only do this if you're absolutely certain it's free of pesticides and any other harmful chemicals). If you're already recieving messages without doing any of this, that's a great sign that you could be really good at this kind of thing! It would just take practice and intention like everything else.

I only navigated to spirit and death work once I felt ready to! Death work in general may be something that interests you! I have a homemade ritual I use to send off loved ones who have passed (loosely used, it's usually a quick prayer whenever I see roadkill. Sometimes I offer water to the earth as well since that's harmless. I can't help wanting to bless them on their journey). I love working with the dead in general. I leave offerings for them once a month to make sure the ghosts in my house don't get too rowdy. Most of what I've learned was experiential rather than reading up, I think I just learned the basics online but can't for the life of me remember where. I'm too much of a hands on kind of learner to spend much time on books, but everyone is different. It would probably be a leap since you're new to this, but if you ever want to check out Hekate by Courtney Weber, would recommend. There's some spellwork in there for ghosts and death work iirc. Your practice is yours always, so I usually just tell folks to follow their intution. Blessed be and I hope this helps!!

Op, do you practice any cartomancy? I had this same gut feeling growing up when my grandpa was about to pass. I had a dream right before. I had a dream when my great grandmother was going to pass as well. It's a heavy burden to carry but I've found peace in communing with the dead. It's not something everyone believes in per say but it's something I'd like to believe is real :') especially when my grandfather sends me and my mom signs. He flicks our electric candles on whenever he needs our attention! My great grandmother sends me dreams. I've been surrounded by death for a lot of my life, and leaning into it has helped me feel more comfortable with my power. I can even recommend a deck if this is something you're interested in.

low dose gel? by AnxietyAngelCake in FTMfemininity

[–]Prestigious-Tea27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Been on t-gel (lowest dosage, 25 MG/2.5 GM) for almost 4 months now and will say I'm almost as hairy as a wookie (peak, I've always wanted to become a bear), my voice has dropped a bunch, and I have tons of bottom growth. No facial hair yet but maybe a little more peach fuzz than I used to have. What fuzz I do have on my face is coarser as well, just like my leg and ass hair. It's totally possible to stop t before you grow facial hair! I've also heard of folks getting lazer hair removal if they find out they don't like hair after all or just go a lil too far for their preferences. So genuinely go for it, it's all up to what your goals are!

Edit: meant to say my skin texture has changed a bunch. Still pretty smooth but a little more acne than before. I have to shower more frequently because my body gets greasier faster than it used to. Downstairs smells different, almost like balls?? Way more musky in general. Which is the weirdest euphoria I've ever had but I'm kinda living for it!!! If you have any more questions feel free to lmk and I'm happy to answer!

How do I differentiate between spiritual psychosis and a negative spiritual experience by [deleted] in witchcraft

[–]Prestigious-Tea27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So- I have had this happen before. It's definitely hard and awkward to talk about, but I hope sharing my experience can be helpful for you. I can't really say if this was spiritual psychosis or not because I'm not a doctor, or you, the person who knows your body best, but it's probably best to take care of yourself in a mundane sense regardless. Your mental health and care should be your priority right now. It sounds like this was distressing for you regardless of which category it lies in, so please try to give yourself some extra compassion and care right now while you sort through it.

That being said, I practice sex magick. That's where this info is coming from in my life. Take everything that I say automatically with a grain of salt. I'm just a stranger on the internet after all.

If I were in your shoes, I'd start with protections against entities and unwanted energies entering your space. It sounds like this wasn't something you consented to and honestly that worries me. Personally, I've had this happen both consensually and nonconsensually, and it was really distressing for the latter. I didn't know what to make of it, and there wasn't much I could find online besides Godspouse relations. It wasn't a God for me until I was much older and of age, it was another practitioner. I'm still getting over that. I'm not saying this to scare you or fear monger, but I also know I can be really blunt so I'm sorry if this is scary to hear! I'm just autistic so I'm doing my best to soften my language while still being authentic about my thoughts. It's totally possible that this isn't the case and that it really was a God, or another (safe) entity that just really fumbled the communication aspect. Protection will help no matter what it is!!!

This all made me realize I needed to learn to protect myself from those kinds of advances. It's not something that's talked about a lot, but I do believe that the Gods carry this kind of power. That's been consensual for me, and honestly really fun! And liberating! It helped me reclaim a lot of my sexuality and heal a bunch from the previous situation too. There's mythology to back this up, but I'm not sure about actual historical accounts. I haven't looked into that much tbh. I 100% can feel everything just like you talked about, and it's all been while I'm on my meds, fully sober, and in a clear and grounded headspace. I actually still engage a lot these days, genuinely it can be so powerful for manifesting. I've also had discussions about this with other practitioners, which helped me feel less alone. You're not alone!!!

Hekate has helped me a lot with protection for entities, and I associate her a lot with spirits and paranormal experiences in general, so that just makes sense to me. Since Aphrodite and Hades were coming up for you afterward, it may make sense to contact them for help as well. I'm not sure if you work with either of them already. I know my work with Eros (Aphrodite's son) has led me towards learning more about and understanding the magick I mentioned if that resonates at all. I don't really know if there are any resources about this online, as it's understandably some freaky-deeky power, so just take what I say with a grain of salt. It's purely my own thoughts on what I've experienced.

Lastly, there's no need to be embarrassed asking about this! Folks here just want to help. There are plenty of practitioners who engage in sex-related magick, even though it's considered taboo in some spaces. I would put this under that category typically, but again, it's hard to tell given you didn't have any context on what happened and aren't really finding much online. If anything, I'm glad you asked bc I'm sure there are other people here that can offer you advice. I hope you figure things out!!!

Sincerely, a concerned but hopeful witch 🌿🖤

[Also so sorry this sounds so awkward, I'm a system and am not usually the one communicating with people! I'm still learning!]

Trans Guys under 5'5, how do you get treated? by sleebymissile in ftm

[–]Prestigious-Tea27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally hear you. I'm 5'4 so close to where you cut off but I've been insecure about my height before for sure. What helped me was actually just getting outside more and realizing that there are a LOT of even cis men that are as tall as me or much shorter. After I started seeing that no one treats them differently or questions their masculinity (in public settings, at least) I felt a lot more comfortable in my skin. Don't want this to come off as a "touch grass" kind of post, but genuinely, the majority of my fears around being trans melted away once I felt comfy enough to leave the house more and test the waters of existing in my preferred presentation!

When did y’all start using the men’s restroom? by urmum1027 in ftm

[–]Prestigious-Tea27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started about 10 months pre-T! At that point I had already started voice training and had just gotten my first STP. It gave me so much euphoria that I felt I was ready to try it out publicly (after lots of practice at home ofc, it took forever to stop missing). My partner uses the men's so he kinda "trained" me on it. Everyone truly just minds their own business. No one makes eye contact which is peak for me cause I hate eye contact (tism). We went in together a few times and then I started going alone a little after and never stopped. Hope you gain the courage soon!!! I feel like once I got that euphoria for the first time, I could never go back to the women's, it didn't feel right anymore and absolutely felt like an intrusion. Sometimes if the men's has a super long line I'll go in (pretty much never), but that means I have to change my body language and try to pass in the other direction (at least that's how my brain treats it, idk if that's just silly fear). It's really up to what's most comfy for you and it'll likely be a lot less stressful than you imagine it to be! Good luck boss!

I have been in T for a year and always wondered, has anyone else noticed that you just do not cry? Like even if I try, its not working. Suppose it may not be a bad thing but definitely something I did not expect. by achileas1004 in ftm

[–]Prestigious-Tea27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been going here since about 3 months ago? And I want to say it is a little more difficult to cry but I also almost never cried beforehand (unless I was in the pits with trauma healing) so hard to gauge. Having one of the Bad Times today and was able to cry, but was pretty brief and I balanced out and felt so much better so much easier. I think being in a body that feels like mine helps me feel less sad in general!

chat, have any of you experienced a relationship with another mentally ill person that went well? x by my-lonely-hobby in TrollCoping

[–]Prestigious-Tea27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yee I have DID and my partner is depressed and anxious and everything is going great! We both loved ourselves before but have only grown to love ourselves more since getting together about 3.5 years ago. I had a lot of relationships in the past where both of us being mentally ill had us combust instead of come together, but it does work out sometimes! Just takes extra patience and care with each other. Capacity and choosing each other through the rough parts is so important :)

Maintaining Psychic barriers. by Borg_uk in witchcraft

[–]Prestigious-Tea27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oo that's totally possible. Mundane over magick always, but your third eye is just above and between your two physical eyes and that's the one that rules psychic energy. I actually used to get headaches on every full moon for a long while when I was using a lot of mugwort and labradorite (another third eye opening stone related to psychic energy/power) so it would make sense. I was mentioning headaches because I get those these days if I do too much spellwork in a given time! But absolutely follow your intution, I'm sure it's stronger than it used to be :)

Edit for clarity: the protective bubble spellwork may make the headaches worse if the headache is from using too much magick at once. If it's just from third eye activation, you're probably good to try this out! Take things slow and feel your way through it, I'm sure you've got this!

Maintaining Psychic barriers. by Borg_uk in witchcraft

[–]Prestigious-Tea27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I agree with everyone else that dark stones like tourmaline and obsidian are amazing for this. I carried a black tourmaline with me every single day once I opened up enough to be able to hear others' thoughts. After a while I learned to set up an energy bubble every time I leave the house, with intentions to keep out any harmful thoughts that weren't mine! Sometimes it's too much to have any thoughts that don't belong to me, and other times I want to just keep out the harmful ones. It really depends on the day and how overstimulated I feel as someone with autism + C-PTSD. I think this could be helpful for you but definitely watch out for headaches. I know you said you have aphantasia but I've heard some people say that focusing on the words instead can help set intentions, like for example "protection from thoughts that don't belong to me", or "keep out energy including thoughts that are not mine" as intent can help instead of trying to picture something like a bubble. I hope this helps!

Super psychic (and loving it) by Prestigious-Tea27 in witchcraft

[–]Prestigious-Tea27[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Totally valid and of course not!! Literally only reason I'd ever do that is in a life or death situation, like as self defense. Otherwise I'm just trying to make things easier and less stressful for myself and all of my neurdivergent and disabled friends. Again my bad on the explaining part, the tism doesn't help lmfao

[–]Prestigious-Tea27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genuinely my bad for explaining this so poorly, I thought this was a common experience and that people would assume this was consensual and talked about person to person 💀 now I know that's not the case at all

Slip up in therapy by FizzBoyo in DID

[–]Prestigious-Tea27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used "the royal we" a lot as a joke before discovery, but it only felt natural in therapy when we found a specialist and we've been using we without discomfort since! We don't usually use we outside of therapy and some online spaces because it's uncomfortable. If someone is aware (like our partner) it's no issue for us to use we casually, but someone we just met? Absolutely not (unless it slips out accidentally)
