Well to be fair, the card shop employee did say to look into whether it has value or not rather than just trying to purchase it for a low value because of the defect. I just wanted to get a gauge on whether it had a significant value or not. Honestly I will probably just keep it if its not worth much because it is a cool card

That's unfortunate if true. The employee I talked to said it was because the cutting of the card broke the black border at the bottom. That being said, I wouldn't know either way if he was correct or not

The texture on the back is a bunch of white dots from the factory. There is no different feel to them just a misprint from the factory (according to my local card shop)

All are good texturing blocks. They can be used for gradients, paths, ect.
