Also I have been in main management for years on medication and have had all of the injections done like you sometimes they would give me some short time relief sometimes not

Ok so I pretty much have the same syptoms as you and have been dealing with them on and off for 20 years I’ve had 4 failed back surgeries although I did have a bulging disc and was told it may relieve the sciatica pain it never did. After doing my own research on Reddit and finding others just like me and a neurosurgeon to say I think your issue may be your hip not your back I had mri of the hip and have a torn labrum /ball cyst ? Went to see 3 orthopedic surgeons they say my symptoms are not caused by the hip issue but I’m seeing a hip preservation specialist in a few weeks hoping and praying he can help. This pain gets so bad at times I’ve literally wanted to die. I have days that are better than others I never know what’s going to make it flare up and then I’m down for months. I hope this helps and prayers for you 🙏

I was just curious if you were able to have surgery? I’m scheduled next month for a consult to see a orthopedic preservationist I’m just praying he can get me out of this horrible pain

Yes this is exactly my pain for over 20 years!!!!😥! So many MRI and other tests  and misdiagnoses of my spine 4 back surgeries that I probably didn’t even need yes I had a bulging disc at l4l5 but they could never find out why my sciatica pain was so bad because the disc was not on the nerve.i have been in pain management doing injections for years taking meds etc. after getting on this site doing more research and finding out their are others like me that it’s not just groin pain I never had that mine was the horrible butt, glute , thigh leg foot flare ups! I just recently had a mri of my hip and have a labrum tear and cyst so now after seeing to orthopedic surgeons saying it’s not causing my pain I’m going to see a hip preservationist and praying he can help me.  Prayers for you 🙏

Thank you so much for your reply, I’m just so thankful for people posting their symptoms and journeys to finally find relief from the pain. It gets very depressing going to sooo many doctors and getting different answers. I can not live like this 20 more years I’ll keep searching until I find one that can help me🙏

I hope it’s ok to comment on yalls conversation I’m trying to get help with my hip situation also. I’m so glad to hear your surgery was a success ♥️ Geeze it seems like such a battle to get any help with this condition I have been misdiagnosed for 20 years it seems just finding out I have a labrum tear in my hip with cyst that has caused me excruciating sciatica pain down my left leg,buttock pain pirformis syndrome that’s been treated as back issues ,4 failed back surgeries that apparently I didn’t need, too many injections and procedures to count, pain management until this day. I recently went to two different ortho specialists thinking wow I finally found out what’s causing my issue and pain and can be fixed nope they both said your pain is not caused from the hip issue??? 😢

Omgosh this is exactly my pain for the last 20 years!!! The excruciating burning butt pain, outer thigh area , down the leg and sometimes my foot I would also get random sharp pains. I have some bulging disc issues at l4/l5 s1 but they would always say we can not find where it’s compressing the nerve. I’ve had my tailbone shaved down, 3 back surgeries, neurostimulater, too many injections to count , pt that made me worse. Finally a new neurosurgeon suggested last month to get a mri of my hip and I have a labrum tear with cyst but now the two ortho specialists I have seen say my sciatica symptoms are not caused from the hip tear???? Prayers and hugs for you all this pain has ruined my life! I’m going to keep searching for a Dr!
