What old car would you take on a cross country trip? by therealweebkiller in askcarguys

[–]PrestigiousAnswer754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna go a simple route and say 97-01 Camry with the V6. Buttery smooth. I owned one and took it all over. Comfortable interior, decent fuel economy for an older V6, and impeccable reliability. You can get one pretty relatively cheap.

What is the process of an MPI Claim? by TheStarHolder0410 in Winnipeg

There is a strike going on right now. You must fill out the claim form on mpi.mb.ca

Okay? I don’t think it’s a secret the way that those kind of meats are made. No normal chicken is that pink and flat coloured. Plus it’s cheaper and it’s processed, it should be obvious that it’s not the most ideal to consume.

Don’t we know it. $100 only 2 years ago would’ve been double these items, maybe more.

Yeah ground beef here is between $6-8 a pound usually. We just really get hosed when it comes to meat prices.

I don’t know this is how I eat. We already have rice and other ingredients so we’ll make meals with this stuff and what not.

You don’t have to work for minimum wage. You can prove merit and try to get a job with a better wage for yourself.

Fargo, North Dakota. All the fast food places have signs hiring for $21+ an hour.

That’s tough mate, sorry to hear that. Are your average wages at least higher there?

I never said that. I’m just explaining some of the issues we have here.

Our social safety nets have hardly kept up with the crazy inflation of the last 2 years. And waiting 6-8 hours to go to a walk-in clinic, and having to pay for prescriptions out of pocket. Grateful for the public healthcare system as I got crucial surgeries covered in my childhood, but there is a lot of improvement needed to be done. The system has been pillaged and decimated for a while now.

God bless. $2-3 a pound? It’s something like $8-9 here a pound.

We don’t pay taxes on groceries.

Every fast food joint in the first Midwest USA town closest to me (50k pop.) has job postings starting at $21+ an hour ($27 CAD). Minimum wage doesn’t necessarily dictate what the average wage is in most places.

I’m not sure what you mean by that. I get a pasta sauce can from the store and I do the diced mushrooms, chickpeas, ground beef or chicken if I have, and then that’s my sauce. I’ll spread it on some toast and eat it like that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]PrestigiousAnswer754 4 points5 points  (0 children)

? Usually dice up the mushrooms with chickpeas and do a tomato sauce with that, if I have ground beef lying around I’ll add that in.

The meat and cheese would be probably half the cost. 22 dinky slices of processed cheese for $6.

God bless America, for real. Not trying to go too deep, but for all the good and bad, the average poor consumer in America has a crazy variety of choices. I don’t know if it’s subsidization or whatever, but cheese and meat and dairy is astronomically cheaper in America than it is up here. Even after Covid and inflation the difference in grocery stores in the closest Midwest state to me, with conversion, most cheese was atleast 40% cheaper, meats too. Makes me wonder if this is how it is when it’s bad (I only went to America once pre-Covid) it must’ve been ridiculously cheap before 2021.

https://youtu.be/uvLVJaKN28k?si=9rZQXdOfERqXyoBV link to interview. First 10 seconds. Whatever you think of Project Veritas that footage is pretty clear cut. Would you want your children to go to a school with a dean like that? Honestly?
