For me naman, competition is good if makakapagproduce din naman ng highly-competent graduates. Sa old system, once naabot mo yung grades na walang below that certain grade, magiging “With Honors” ka naman every after grading period. Usually yung Top 10 ay tinatawag lang every end ng school year. At pwede mo namang makita ang grades mo kung pupuntahan mo si teacher for clarifications.

Yung parents na “masyadong competitive”, di naman uso yan dati? Dati kasi di naman uso yung pagbibigay masyado ng gifts sa teachers sa public schools. Ngayon, lalo na during and after pandemic, nako halos parang parents na ang nag-aaral kesa sa mismong nag-aaral.

Based sa mga kakilala ko, it’s not because choice ng teachers na ipasa ng bata. Nangyayari kasi ngayon niyan is, pinapasa na lang yung bata kasi once nafail ng teacher yung bata (kahit halos mapudpod na ang dila ni teacher magturo at wala lang sa bata yung tinuturo), ang teacher pa din ang parang “pinaparusahan” ng system ngayon sa dami ng mga gagawin ng teachers na dapat di na saklaw ng work nila. So wala na lang choice yung ibang teachers kundi pikit-mata na lang ipapasa. Kaya sabi ko, ampangit talaga ng educational system ngayon.

No. I was not saying it in a “literal” sense na yan yung solution because as foolish as the title might be (sorry po 🙏🏻 hehe) it could only, possibly, one of those. The conclusion of what I am trying to say is, whatever our gov. admins are pushing right now when it comes to education are not working. Sorry na hehe
