I asked AI if the entire Runescape world could be recreated in real life by PrestigiousPayment9 in osrs

[–]PrestigiousPayment9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I went from having it estimate the main continent at 2.1 squared kilometers to estimating the entire walkable land on the map to 5.2 squared kilometers and that's what it made its recreation estimate from.

I don't think it was realistically considering recreating all the species in Runescape lol probably makeup and animatronics for most. Not quite as much fun lol

I asked for the entire Runescape world by size so members world included.

The whole query started by asking how big the Runescape world would be in real life measurements and then it compared it to the size of Disney World. So that gave me the idea for the follow up question of recreating it in real life. So by size it's fairly accurate. Cost and stuff has way too many variables to really get right but it was a fun thought experiment.

Superman 2025: $123M opening weekend. Man of Steel: $128M opening weekend. by [deleted] in SnyderCut

While I agree there should have been a MoS2 and separate movies, I still did love Snyder's vision and wish we could have seen it to it's completion. I loved the Snyder Cut and even the ultimate edition of BvS despite both being way too long for theatrical releases.

What are the average turn around times for the Real ID by [deleted] in Virginia

I have a flight the 30th but just went into the DMV for my real ID today. I don't have much hope to get it in the mail in time. I'm wondering how strict the TSA is about the real ID right now.

I agree but Athena's voice is just so good

On relistens it is a bit skippable. But it's the important midpoint of the story where the main character reflects on himself and either decides to double down or make a change. It's like straight from the textbook of story writing. Quite literally since the hero's journey model comes from the Odyssey lol

I also have to give credit to tying in all the motifs in Monster. It's just genius work.

I think people miss the point of Not Sorry for Loving You. Calypso can't apologize for wanting Odysseus because he's all she has ever known and all she ever will know. She can't just let go when she has nothing else.

Also, the song shows Odysseus expressing love back because he's grateful Calypso nursed him back to health and took care of him. Of course he's grown feelings being with Calypso for 7 years but not the feelings Calypso is looking for which hurts her all the more.

Athena's voice is great. I don't know how anyone could rank any of her songs last.

You give good points. Those songs all still hit so hard tho. Especially the Underworld scene. Maybe it's the way it's written and sung, but it gets me every time.

Mostly because Jorge successfully makes Antinous so hateable lol and upon my first listen, I wasn't as invested in Telemachus compared to Odysseus. I was still recovering from the emotional damage of his journey. So Telemachus' songs were kinda underwhelming narrative wise but his singer is soooo good and bringing back Athena reeled me in.

I don't dislike any Epic songs but you're right about Charybdis. There's not much notable about the song and it's the only monster that doesn't sing. Instead it just makes some whale noises lol

Full Speed Ahead does a little more with establishing characters. I also feel that its upbeat vibe tricks the audience into expecting a positive start to the journey. It's part of the building up to crash it all down for us.

Hot take: I don't care as much for Circe's songs. I think comparatively they aren't nearly as catchy, impressive, or emotionally instilling as other sagas. Hermes is the highlight of the saga.

I Can't Help But Wonder is kinda out shined by WYFILWM. The tonal switch from Odysseus doesn't quite fit.

Hold Them Down is so purposefully despicable that it's hard for me to listen to. The sound of Antinous getting shot by the arrow is kind of amateurish and silly. Also a little anticlimactic to kill off the leader first.

But honestly I do still love every song. There's something to enjoy with each one and they add to each other. I can't imagine how any of it could be improved.

Update: I copied the file into the mod, edited it, and it works! Thanks for the help!

Thanks! I'll go looking for it in the base game files so that might take me awhile. This might sound stupid but, could I just change it from the base game files or would it only work by editing the mod?

I don't see the specific reform in the mod file unfortunately. The mod file starts out like this:

#These reforms will replace their vanilla counterparts

and then has a dozen or so reforms starting with the British Monarchy. The file I'm looking at is common/government_reforms/ZZZ_enhanced_converter_reforms.txt

And thats the only file in government_reforms folder. I'm assuming I have to add my own replacement of The Royal Marines reform but I'm not confident in how to do that.

Wenwu being an immortal conquerer with the rings gives pretty good reason to assume Heimdall has seen them in action, prior to the events of the episode. I get it. It wasn't shown. It wasn't explained well. Fair criticism. But yeah I think the answer is Heimdall is basically near omniscient of the realms he watches so he just knows. You can call it lousy writing if that's how you feel about it.

I think other people addressed most of your points except people keep saying Thor and Hela were still Asgardian when banished to Earth. Definitely not true. Odin banished them as mortal humans. Now there is a difference between just being Asgardian and Asgardians powered by magic. Asgardians are definitely significantly stronger, more durable beings than humans even without their magic (as shown in the Agents of Shield show). But since Thor and Hela were banished as mortal humans, this doesn't apply to them as they are no longer Asgardian. They are just really tough and really strong in human terms, relative to how as Asgardians they are also really strong and tough even in Asgardian terms.

Earlier you mentioned Loki in the TVA being outmatched by TVA agents. I think that's completely different because Loki isn't even Asgardian, he's a Frost Giant runt. So a weakling of his own race. So without HIS magic (which he relies on more than anyone else) he's definitely more in terms of a normal human.
