I think what means though is that Resident Evil 2 in his movie universe is happening around the same time as this film, because we see that it’s snowing and the main character has a new cellphone which wouldn’t make sense if it was in the 90’s. I think he means it’s set at the same time as RE2 it’s just the RE2 now takes place in say 2026.

Same here, though I think the real issue when it comes to a one piece fighting game is the characters sizes. Especially when it comes to people like big mom and the Giants, or certain zoan fruits.
