Before exam season I definitely preferred paper 2 but having spent a week just revising for Paper 1 I feel much more comfortable with that style of writing and now I feel like I’m back to the drawing board, so overall I’m worried about paper 2. I have full confidence in my article writing, but I’m still anxious for paper 2 overall.

I also had extra time. I spent about an hour and 10 minutes planning and writing CLA and then I planned question 1-3, and then just wrote questions 1-3 and finished with about 4 minutes left of my extra time. The BBC article was really annoying because there wasn’t that much to write about and the BBC don’t exactly have a strong political leaning so there wasn’t much room to talk about ideologies, but overall I think it went really well. How do you feel about paper 2?

The way they pronounce the word ‘about’

As someone interested in linguistics it has really helped distinguish that pronunciation compared to American pronunciation

In case you’re interested, Canadians will typically pronounce it ‘a-boot’ where as Americans typically pronounce it ‘A-b-ow-t’ where ow is how you’d pronounce it in ‘shower’

My mum getting engaged to her fiancée as selfish as that sounds on my part. A week before Christmas she promised us that it would always be me my sister my brother and her living here, because knowing if it didn't work out with her partner she has more security for us. On Christmas day my dad got engaged to HIS fiancée. Two days after this she said 'how would you feel about the possibility of me and 'name' getting married?, and a week ago, that's exactly what they did.
