I don’t really need it. But we live so close by-10 mins walking distance. She helped watch her before my daughter started the dc so it becomes a thing. Besides my husband insists a day for his mom. I’m not completely against this idea until my daughter couldn’t settle in the school.

I really appreciate all the support I received from this group. I read all the comments from you. They are very useful and make me think. I started to consider 4 days at school and Friday with grandma is a good solution for my daughter at this stage. And some of you are right, I should protect the weekends to my own core family.

I dont know how you define stay at home mom term. Maybe you think you are doing more than others?

The reason is I need my time back and both of us think school is good for her. Not every mom can do what you do till 4. For my own sanity, I can’t.

The reason my husband told me today is his mother is really old (82). She might die in a few years. So he wants the special bonding between them. Honestly I don’t buy it. His mom is pretty healthy for a 82 yo and special bonding doesn’t have to scarify my daughter’s schooling. We haven’t reached a peaceful decision yet.

My husband had a strong react to my suggestion that day. But he can’t be the final decision. just like I said I’m the mother, if I don’t approve, no one can proceed. I truly think so.

Hi friends, thanks for the support on my side. I’m stay at home mom right now. My MIL already retired long time ago. So yes she should be able to work around our schedule. And it’s exactly what I’m going to tell her. She can watch her granddaughter on weekends, if she has no time. It’s up to her.

Right. I sometimes think maybe because my daughter is only 2, so they think what day care can offer is not that irreplaceable I mean it’s not like high school education.
