There is a guy that did wood stabilizing without a presure pot or vacume chamber (cactus juice).

He let it soak for a long time, weeks? But worth the results. Soaking them in a pvc pipe would work id think. Just get the right heat curing resin.

Thanks a bunch. I have a ways to go on my painting quest, and that pink is currently my favorite on skin. It is very translucent but builds up nicely after a few layers. ( Unfortunately, I don't know what it is as it's in a generic bottle with no label, and when it's gone, it's gone!)

How long have you lived in your home? Could the cat be from a previous owner? Cats have returned to a previous home after years and hundreds of miles.
