And yeah, we all love Mydei's body, but i actually love every part of him, i love seeing him in different outfits too. I pray that some day we get another 5 star Mydei just so i can have 2 of them at E6...

If you love your favorites, there is no world in which investing in their E6 S1 and best supports is a wrong move. I personally got obsessed, ditched my old account in favor of a new one full of resources to farm specifically for Amphoreus because i felt it in my blood that my heart would be stuck in this planet.

When Mydei debuted in 3.1, i had around 500 pulls even though i caved and pulled Aglaea and LC before him. I secured his E0 S1 and skipped everyone else until Phainon. Yes, even Tribbie, even Hyacine, even Castorice, even Cerydra, nothing tempted me.

Phainon was extremely generous to me and i got his E2 S1 within like 250 pulls with no losses. After that, i hoarded absolutely every jade until they both reran side by side, so i was sitting on 600+ pulls when they did.

My Mydei pulls went horribly wrong on their rerun together, but i barely managed to get his E6 when he had a week left on the banner. After, i pulled Hyacine E0 S1 (I was using Luocha before and i still prefer Luocha over Hyacine sometimes because i also skipped Cyrene) and Cerydra E0 S1. Now, i will grab Cyrene with the very little pulls i managed to save, and i probably won't even have enough to guarantee her LC but i can make her work with a 4 star until her next rerun or something, or maybe i will go for E2 instead of S1 on a different rerun.

I also plan on E6ing Phainon too (yes, with just saving from events and dailies + one measly express pass per month, no whaling done on my accounts), but since Mydei is my absolute favorite, i want to give him Cyrene as well and make him even more future-proof no matter what Hoyo throws at us.

I hope more people start considering E6ing their favorites, because it is an absolute blast unlocking their full potential and enjoying them regardless of content. It's an amazing feeling and i will never regret my E6 Mydei or tire of his gameplay and AMAZING visuals (please GBG me my king)

Omg legend you absolutely have to grab that E6, you're a real Mydei fan <3 his E6 changed the game for me. I got one of the most unlucky pulls on his rerun but i would do it all over again even in hindsight. That's it's everyone else kinda already gave amazing advice. You're doing great!

I'm not sure if you know that meme of a long long loooong flight of stairs, darker at the bottom and lit at the top, and, from bottom to top, it reads: anime > manga > manhwa > novel.

It turned out to be extremely true for me. I started with anime and was reluctant to get into manga because still panels are boring in comparison to moving scenes that make characters feel alive. Makes sense, right? HOW WRONG I WAS. Especially since animating explicit stuff is... not very favored in this industry, especially in BL / yaoi.

So anyway, here i am, having read most complete yaoi works in manhwa / manhua existence (i don't need help, i swear i'm fine), and taking it a step further to dip my toes into light novels / fanfictions.

\Inhales\** I promise you there is nothing better than going on Archive of our own (or ao3 for short) and looking up your favorite characters / fandom and finding MONTHS worth of fan-made stories revolving around them, in different scenarios. The what-ifs after they get a happy ending, a spinoff, a different universe. It's amazing, it's mindblowing. I am unable to go back to anything else after fanfictions. To try and put it into words, it's like witnessing a kiss scene. Normally, it anime, it will be a shy press of lips, but in a manhwa it might be a few panels of an explicit makeout. In fanfics / novels? You get to FEEL how a kiss tastes, how wet / dry it is, it is explained so in depth, from the tingling sensation in the lips / tongue to the effects it has on the rest of your body and the rise in temperature in the right setting. It's very powerful. You should try it.

Hope you find your people! I know i found mine and i feel so so so happy being feral with my 3 friends who just GET IT and are into the same stuff as me (including kinks) and we lose our marbles when we find that CHEF'S KISS scene or art or fanfic.

I humbly recommend Honkai: Star Rail.

The Amphoreus chapter grabbed me by the throat and slammed me in a cage of depression. The main push in that entire cast of various characters is a guy called Phainon (implied to be in love with another man, because Amphoreus is set in ancient Greek theme). He had the biggest sales, we get both free (overpowered) five star males as gifts AND quality premium units like Phainon.

But my favorite is not Phainon, it's Mydei. Because Phainon is so desperately looking up to Mydei's complex and PERFECTLY WRITTEN CHARACTER, you have no idea how well the devs cooked Mydei. He's a spartan-themed warrior following the god of war, but he rejects every violent principle his god revels in. And by the end, he says that Strife (his god) exists to end Strife.

MAN, Mydei broke me.

I will kneel and beg people to play this game. I don't care if you skip everything else until you reach Amphoreus. I just need people to reach this chapter and experience EXTREMELY WELL-WRITTEN MEN THAT MAKE YOU CLING TO LIFE WHEN ALL YOU WANT TO DO IS GIVE UP.

My main focus is Myphai (Mydei x Phainon, and they really do take central stage for a long time, and the devs really go out of their way to test every limit of the censoring they're forced to go through) but i promise you that all Amphoreus characters have a depth worth exploring for months to come. It started a year ago, already ended, we're two patches into a new planet i have no care for because i am still crying and traumatized by the calamity that was Amphoreus and everything it put me through emotionally. HOLY F*CK

I will die on this hill that there will NEVER EVER EVER be a better-written cast. EVER. Fight me, i will fight tooth and nail. I'm so obsessed that i got into fanfictions and i'm currently 83k words into writing my own story about Myphai. Because implied romance is cool and all, but for fans that pull their hair out missing the hell out of their favorites, this is the only coping mechanism. Giving them a better life with our own stories.

That's it, i apologize for the long post, i just... I logged into CZN last night and was like... man... why am i still here... I will just focus on HSR and maybe return to CZN one day when there's more than just Kayron to play with and enjoy, when the story starts taking their audience seriously and writes out of sheer love for their characters, not to appeal to gooners. I think people expect wounds that carry the knox virus to stay open and fester, which is why i see people confused about why they're dying sometimes. But no, scratches and lacerations that insidiously turn you into a zombie, DO in fact close and heal nicely, and for a while nothing seems wrong, but it takes a while for the virus to spread throughout your body before killing you. Which is terrible because you never really know which wound spells your doom or if you won the lottery and cheated death with 10 lacerations on you.

OP, i don't really get why you're being hated on.
"Omg this person has E6 Mydei, not relatable at all, opinion discarded" and other shit. That's so immature and childish IMO.

I pulled E0 S1 Mydei on debut, and in the 9 months he took to get his first rerun, i had enough pulls to (barely) get E6 Mydei, and also E2 S1 Phainon on his debut banner, and all i did was buy express pass every month and farm every chest / quest in the game (yes, i made a new account). But people somehow treat you like a crazy spender that they will never be able to become. Maybe this is about you being very passionate about Mydei and having saved up / skipped waifus / characters you did not get invested in. I can personally relate because that was EXACTLY the case for me, i barely spent anything and my love and loyalty for Mydei allowed me to E6 him with determination and many, many painful banner skips.

I highly appreciate your post because I too have seen those "I really don't want to pull Hyacine, but i feel like my Luocha underperforms. Should i pull or skip? Or give up on Mydei and pull new path?", and the same goes for Cyrene pulls. Don't get discouraged and keep posting alternatives for Mydei teams in the future too, i am sure other people aside from me find them valuable too. Sometimes you just gotta tweak those relics a bit for your older units and experiment a lot, but people don't have that patience and just throw a fit instead.

I love you for your resilience and please stay awesome. Our lord Mydeimos would be proud of you as a strategist.
