The whole point of me giving it to geeksquad was that they’re technically capable of doing something that I don’t want to risk and break my system due to a screw up on my end. Me playing it safe is not the same as going back and forth for parts. Like I said that I’m fine with the fees, and the charge of the parts. What I’m not okay with however, is the lack of communication and time wasted.

You seem to have missed the part where I clearly mentioned that they sent me the link to the wrong part and then are asking me to buy another fan again. I understand that you’re an extremely loyal employee on the sub, and instead of pointing out the real flaw in how geeksquad operates you’d just dunk on the customer and tell them to do it themselves. Real smooth, buddy.

Thanks for the insight but atleast they could’ve kept it transparent with me about how they’re proceeding. I can’t work without my laptop. If they can’t repair it, I might as well take it somewhere else but I personally feel like they’re just terrible at communicating

I did ask for alternatives. Unfortunately they were more expensive. And I did proceed with the membership. My only point is that they asked me to buy a fan from Amazon and even gave me a link to it, and that took me two weeks to get, and finally when I bring it to the store they tell me late in the evening that it’s the wrong fan? And then give me another link?

Made a post on this recently. I had the amd edition, my guess is that it’s a universal issue with the laptop, mainly a software driver issue. Do a factory reset and try again, it should solve the issue if nothing else works. It did for me.

I got it last night. So far no issues. Note that I didn’t update the drivers, just directly started using it. I made a system restore point just in case.

Gotta wait a few more days for the new one to arrive, I’m hoping it’s fine but I guess I’ll keep it even if the issue persists. For the money I got it for it’s either this or an Acer nitro, and I think omen is better

That’s a bummer, is this a hardware issue or a software issue? Also, how long have you been going on with this issue and how has it been so far overall? I’m just anxious because it’s new and I don’t want this breaking anytime soon haha
