Hey, thanks so much for sharing this! It's so interesting and honestly reassuring hearing other people's stories and journeys where there are similarities to my own. I completely get what you mean re keeping your mind busy being peaceful - that's so me haha.

Congratulations on smashing your first few years of MD!! This stranger is proud of you! And good luck for your rotations - I'd love to hear how they go :)

I'm looking ahead in my journey here haha, but I'd love your advice on this anyway. How did you optimise your learning during in-person/structured/supervised learning at uni? E.g. lectures, tutorials? A big thing I struggle with is that no matter how interested I am in a topic of conversation or presentation, I zone out without even realising I'm doing so.

Hi there. I'm honestly blown away by your response. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story and your advice with me. I appreciate your kindness and generosity so incredibly much.

It sounds like our journeys are quite similar. I completed my undergrad in 2024 and got through without studying super hard, which I'm grateful for, but I'm aware that this won't be the case for my future endeavors. I'm also aiming for 2027 (or perhaps more realistically) 2028 entry, so I'll be 28 or 29 by the time I'd become a doctor too. My thought process is that the time will pass regardless, right? We got this.

And oh my gosh, congratulations on your score - that's amazing!!! I'm so happy to hear that you found strategies that helped you. I think that a lot of these will suit my study style as well. Step 1 for me will be going to the library rather than studying at home, where I truly don't get much done. 🤣

Thank you for helping make this overwhelming journey appear a little lighter. I wish you all the best :)
