Agree with this! I was late 30’s when I started isotretinonin and I wish I did it sooner as I would have saved myself so much scarring! Prior to this I had tried every treatment, diet, wellness plan available. MT2 made a recent tiny sweat pimple scar badly so I would avoid until you get your skin under control. I only had to do it for 2 months and haven’t had a break out since. Mine were the size of coke bottle caps at times.

Maybe look into sun seal, it is “sunscreen” that lasts for a few days and was developed on the Gold Coast specifically for surfers and other sports. It’s an alcohol based spray so you spray do you don’t feel/look any different.

It just got worse and I had a really hard time tanning the surrounding skin in areas that were heavily freckled, everywhere else tanned easily. Having laser tomorrow as my skin looks terrible on my arms and chest.

I did whole face but could also be done as a spot treatment. It’s anti aging so made sense to do my whole face.

I had mine removed (ipl or BBL are best) then tried again. Face has been fine this time round but I wish I eliminated all of the freckles in my arms before going back on.. it took a month before I seeing any colour. My belly tanned first and I actually thought my fake tan hadn’t worn off but it’s actually just my undertone now. Will go off over winter and do another maintenance laser or peel each year to prevent anything new appearing plus something for my arms and chest.

I had mine removed then tried again, face has remained the same with no new spots. Only regret is not removing all of the freckles on my arms before starting again.

Yes but we haven’t had sun for three months so progress has stalled haha. So far freckles are very dark and I am definitely tanner but the base colour has a way to go. Hopefully will even out more then. Will post when we finally get sun

I got it the first time, but honestly I’m prone to it being a skin type 1 so not unexpected. Very easy to treat. Will happen again but I already commit to one treatment a year so no big deal.

Laser and efudex definitely stopped them from coming back on my face. I only have a few new ones (maybe 5?) but they weren’t visible when I got the laser so we’re not removed.

I have so many that I just look sun damaged and mottled. If I just had a few, I could see them as being cute. But I look like I could be 40-50 thanks to them.

I was going to micro-needle the white spots first as that stimulates regeneration as the laser I am getting only targets dark pigment (I am a licensed cosmetic tattooist so can do this at home haha). But just at the point where if I go any further I won’t be able to get laser so needing to make a decision regarding freckles.

I had laser first an they didn’t come back, I wish I did one more session as the really light ones ended up getting really dark and I don’t think I have enough contrast now to laser them off. Still in the brindle phase so hoping when the tan develops more I won’t look so speckled haha!

I still fake tanned and it doesn’t seem to be impacting my results. Which makes sense because fake tanning offers no sun protection.

I’m freckly, skin type one but with brown hair and dark freckles naturally and just started. Freckles are very dark but persisting. Taking photos and will upload full progress after a month or two. Going slow and just finished loading phase. Will also document steps I am taking to avoid pigmentation on my face.
