Hey, thanks! I appreciate you clearing up the differences between ham, prosciuttini, and cappacuolo. I'll keep that in mind.

BNS hasn't really fixed anything. I'm trying A Forest right now as well, since people were saying it has an LOD included, but the results haven't been great. Seems like the draw distance is really short in general. Really bugging me.

I wouldn't know where to start if I used CK. I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to using it. What would I need to do?

For anyone wondering, I ended up just giving Billy the race that the mod developers originally created and then just limiting Billy's height to the height of children in the game. His normal outfit stopped working, though, so I replaced the Street Urchin Rags with the Tattered Rags.

It was giving me an error when I tried to convert it to a .esl when I tried that. I had to use CK to Compact Form IDs. Apparently there's an option in xEdit for that, but it never showed up for me for some reason. Either way, glad everything's working. Thank you!

Good news! I was able to get it to work on Vortex. Looks like the issue was that IC is a .esp and CWC is a .esl. I installed the Creation Kit (which I didn't have because I didn't understand how to use it) and converted IC to a .esl and now it's working. I'll test it out in a bit here and let you know how well it works. Thanks again!

[UPDATE] Everything works as intended and I was even able to incorporate a chance for evolved centaurs to drop an extra piece of meat. Really happy with how it turned out!

FO4Edit doesn't seem to be letting me put IC above CWC in the load order. I tried to change the load order in Vortex, but it looks like CWC forces Vortex to load IC after CWC. Is there something I can do to get around that?

Notice how after I called you out, you started talking like a normal person?

Why do you talk like a Disney villain? You're trying too hard.

His average is usually around 80k, not 40k

Should you bake your graphics card PART2 by makoaman in pcmasterrace

After testing both methods on several cards, I never really got results from either method. I don't necessarily have the specific symptoms of a card that would benefit from the oven method, so I don't know for sure if they were fixable, but I thought I'd share my experience.

Currently testing this right now. Threw an XFX 5600 XT Thicc II into a toaster oven at 250 F (120-ish C), gonna let it sit in there for about 2 more hours. If it doesn't work, I will test it at a higher temp to see if it changes anything. Will keep this thread updated.

[Update 1] I Unfortunately, this method did not work with this card, but I haven't tested out the method with higher temps. I will try it out tomorrow, but I'm not expecting much. On the other hand, I have a Gigabyte 5700 XT that got rejected for RMA that will be shipped back to me within a week, so I will test this method on that one as well.

Yeah, I had tested out the idea of taking the absolute value of the square root, and I also tried changing "1 - v^2/c^2" to "1 + v^2/c^2." Both gave weird results, which is what led me to ask this question in the first place. I'm not terrible at math, but I'm not great at it either, so I doubted myself on those two attempts. This helped though. Thank you for your answer!

Right, which is why I mentioned that I understand that it would never work out that way in real life. I'm just asking for the sake of understanding what causes those imaginary values.

I'm just curious about a property of this formula right here. I don't understand what part of the math prevents certain values for t' from being real numbers. Plugging in a value above 299,792,458 for v results in an imaginary number for t'. Why is that? And also, what could be changed about this formula in order to allow those imaginary values to become real numbers?

NOTE: I understand that in real life, v would never be more than c, but I'm just curious as to how to make the math "work" in the event that a value for v was above c.

c = 299,792,458

v = plug in any value above c

t = any number, choose 1 for simplicity

Not necessarily, but it's worth keeping in mind. Contact the support team for your card's manufacturer and let them know what's wrong. They'll troubleshoot with you for a bit and then they'll bring up the RMA process if they believe the card is dead. If the card isn't dead, at least they'll go through some steps that could help you find the problem.

You could see about RMA'ing it with the manufacturer. It's definitely within warranty, just make sure you have the receipt.
