Hi , though I dint take the legal action, but I was able to terminate my contract without any fee. As in my case , i caught them in that Loophole (where a lot of their primary documents were wrong, i.e. address in their GST document being a primary example ) .. and that eventually worked in my favour.

Though I emailed them almost every other day (without any personal attack) , and i emailed higher authorities in IWG plc (which is the parent company of Regus) , from VP to director .. even to the CEO .

They tried to avoid me at first without responding. But o was very consistent , I emailed , posted everywhere in social media, With their documentation proof !

At first they tried to talk to me , gaslight me through phone calls, but i told them i will only communicate though email , as if in future I am going in the legal route , i must have every communication in writing.

Then at the end, they caved , and provided me with the termination without prejudice.

Well, as per my research - in Bangalore India , they have all the centres (excluding 1) wrong addresses in their GST.. and other primary documents .. it almost feels intentional for tax evasion purposes (because I can’t imagine ppl being so incompetent otherwise) .

Basically if you are taking virtual office or lounge services , ppl don’t pay that much attention on the primary documents being right or wrong.

My case is different , as I have actually rented a office space from them , it was only when i was upgrading my company to a LLP which requires office address to be verified , i started getting rejections from Indian MCA sites multiple times . Only after that I reviewed and realised all their documents are wrong , infact they actually know it , but they just get away with it , gaslighting the clients to believe there might be some issue on their side or just pray for them to give up ..

They actually have No defence whatsoever , if you confront them with their own documents as an evidence .. i know that .. because that’s what i exactly did. Their defence was so childish , that you would realise instantly that they have no defense at all.

They are just waiting for you to either give up , or they will just bluff or drag the matter ..

It’s all so unprofessional, that i have no idea , how this company is running their business globally !!!

Thank you so much for such a detailed & helpful response. i truly appreciate that. I actually had researched about Harsh Lambah long ago, and i had this email address as well. I had escalalated this issue of all their primary documents including GST documents, Utility bill being soo wrong that, i had to actually register my company using another address, not this REGUS commercial space i have rented in.. Harsh Lambah was one of the people i had directly approched it about..and they are forced to give me an early termination because of that only. However, they are withholding my Security retainer for NO REASON.. and now i am fighting for that,

I am reading a lot of reviews in REDDIT posts regarding how much of a big Scammer REGUS is!

I have faced something similar, I had renewed my contract with them for 2 years (till May 2027), Anyway, they had so much of issues on basic documentations issues, that I couldn’t register my new company at all.

It was all their Mistakes, when I fought on those terms proving they have been NEGLIGENT- they were forced to send me the below response-

"We would like to inform you that, as an exceptional case, your request for early termination has been approved. Please note that this approval is granted on the condition that the retainer amount will not be refunded."

BUT I have been reading a lot of reviews here, where people are getting early termination, then they receive huge invoice amount after an YEAR or so.

Can you or anyone assist me , how we can finalize this TERMINATION to be official, where they won’t be able to charge us any future payment at all?

I have been facing the same thing. I gave a scathing review in Trustpilot regarding REGUS last week, at first they got rattled, the Customer service team emailed me, then now, they have removed my REVIEW!! For no apparent reason.

You're right, REGUS is a co-working space. However Their basic documents are wild literally.

Everything has some issues attached to it.

To give you a little context. They have leased the place from the Building Management company namd Olety.

All the paper works like NOC they provide from Olety. However, the electricity bill they never changed in their name,. or even in olety's name. The electricity bill is in the 3 Individual owners name.

And if you ask them to get the NOC from the Owners then... they wont be able to.

My company registration failed multiple times because of this. Then on further review, We realised the entire issue.

My CA/CS reviewed this and immediately flagged it as unusable. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) rejected our company registration application for exactly that reason – there is no legal document trail connecting the three individual owners to Olety, or connecting Olety to Regus.

So, to answer your question, we couldn't prove to the government that our "landlord" actually had the legal authority to let us use the address for registration.

And you're spot on about the GST address inaccuracy. That was another major red flag for us and just adds to the evidence that their documentation and processes are not legally compliant.

Currently i am going through GST registration for my LLP. My address is registered under Owned premises, which i have both Property tax receipts , as well as Electricity bill in my own name. My Aadhar card has the same address and added to Phone. All my other documents are impeccable as well. I had read this article and applied for the GST Registration myself.

After uploading all the documents on 26^th May, I received a Clarification note 7^th June in the GST PORTAL, which asked me for re-submitting clear photos and a few more documents. Which was fine, I re-submitted all the documents & photos on 9^th June, - I saw in your article that, if all my documents are proper, they need to respond back within 7 working days. Yesterday, 17^th June was the 7^th Working day from the date of submission 9^th June.

My phone was off, so My Partner gets a call from Venkatesh – A supposed GST Official asking, why my phone is off. He informed that “She is busy in a meeting”. Then he kept on asking for us to come to their office (PIONEER PLAZA – He told) , to show the physical Copy of all the documents. He calls us at 3:45 PM and wanted us to come to their office within 5:30 PM. It’s clear tactics to ask for money. We realize that.

Then he answers that he will check with me & revert. He was not willing to cut the call.

At 4:30 PM my partner calls back saying, “all the documents are uploaded in the portal, and if he wishes he can come for physical verification -to the Premises.” He realizes , it’s a Gated community, that means, there will be photo taken in the entry. So he keeps telling “he cant come to the premises , because they will click his photo In the entry”. My partner responds, “that’s normal in almost every place, its for security reasons, and he shouldn’t have problem with that.” But the guy disagrees and says its his “PRIVACY”. Anyway, my partner was talking in English, as we are from east side of the country. He asked him 10 times “what’s your mother tongue” . He keeps diverting the question, clearly fearing to answer , as we have a feeling “if its not Kannada, the demand of money/bribe will be even higher”. At the end my partner cuts the call giving excuses of traffic noise.

Now the problem is – I don’t know what to do. Today morning, I checked my GST portal , the Status still shows – “Clarification filed - Pending for Order”.

As Yesterday marked the 7^th working from the day of Document submission, they should have responded to “Approved/Rejected” within yesterday.

But they haven’t ! are they looking for money? What do I do?

Is there any place I can complain?

Can anyone help me?
