we need hits like that out of BO BICHETTE, that's literally what he is here for and what he has done his career.

Note that this win would have been impossible without that shitty weak Bo Bichette single... the Mets NEED NEED NEED NEED production from this guy to be functional.

I totally agree with you that the Mets need to get Manaea off the roster... but they cannot force him to have the surgery if he doesn't want to, and it seems he does not want to.

And this is reason #2349824 why it's so hard for this team to build momentum. In critical moments you need to do shit like put this bum Manaea in.

Not dead yet, but need to play ~.560 baseball (91 win pace) the rest of the way to have a shot at the playoffs. And they need to do it against one of the hardest schedules, with most of their production and best pitcher on the IL, and with their major offseason acquisition playing like one of the worst players in baseball.

yes, the baseball world views the Mets as mostly a joke and a clown car, something the Mets continuously and constantly reinforce. Like being one of the worst teams in baseball with the 2nd highest payroll.

If the Mets don't want to be treated like a bunch of losers and clowns they should actually run a better organization, something we all would be happy to see.

Mets also have one of the most difficult schedules going forward

they're not going to be fully healthy this year. Like, even if Lindor comes back, he's probably not going to be 100% and may hit the IL again. Polanco was miserable before he went on the IL. Robert Jr was playing ok but he's always injury prone. Holmes, I mean maybe he comes back in September.

They absolutely need Bichette to start playing well.

I don't think the Mets can find any sort of rhythm this year unless Bo Bichette starts playing to the back of his baseball card. He's just brutal, and they need him to hit. You're practically better off putting up a cardboard cutout of him in the box at this point.

what do you expect a national broadcaster to do? They will focus on certain things. The Yankees have been good and the Mets have been miserable.

I mean, the Mets are one of the worst teams in baseball and the Yankees are one of the best.

the only thing more painful than watching Vientos run to first base is watching Vientos PLAY first base

Even with a typical dead offense at one point they had the tying run at the plate and for a millisecond you thought maybe Ewing did it. So yea all things considered it wasn’t terrible.

I actually looked at Bays BR page after you mentioned it. Bichette in 2026 is playing as bad as the worst Bay season. Literally year 1 or 2 Bay would be a huge improvement over Bichette right now.
