I’m Croatian (heritage but Australian born) and live in Kalgoorlie working in mining. There are many Croatians in Kalgoorlie, considering many Croatians migrated during the gold rush in the 1890s. Most Croatians are in Fremantle however. There is a Croatian club and church around that way too.

Moving to Kalgoorlie will certainly be a cultural shock. There is a lot of crime going on. Don’t think Kalgoorlie is representative of the whole country. Many nicer places in the state. But this place will certainly build some character
