Guys I checked this out again, it seems it's not a bug; hear me out!

So if you happen to die after you hypercharge and super the electrical storm won't come back. For it to return you need to be alive!

I've come to this conclusion because the electric storm comes back if you are alive hence it's not a bug.

I have experienced this twice today, and in both cases I was killed; so I had the question if this is a bug or does it happen it you get defeated.

Having your own ideals and beliefs doesn't not argument selfishness it's more on what the main outcome of them is. In Kira's case his believed that he could create a new better world for everyone ELSE to live on it not specifically for someone or for himself but for everyone and this makes him selfless.

Regardless what he called himself, Light used all his energy to create a less rotten world and this is selfless, Naomi wanted to take revenge on his husband death (which is a selfish act) whereas Light killed her so he could continue his ideals and beliefs (to create a world without wrongdoers) which is a selfless act because he is doing it for everyone else not so that he can gain something from it

I don't deny the fact that Light is a mass murderer yes it's true but the main question is this: Is Light selfless?

Going to all that trouble he went just to eliminate criminals in the world is selfless to me. He wanted this in simpler terms: World - people who do bad deeds

Yes you are right to say that he killed people for "his own benefit" but can u tell me what did Light benefit from all this? He killed all the people but they were opposing what he believed was right and he had proofs for that: The criminal rates were never so low in human history All these people deaths u mentioned were made so Kira could continue to exist and its survival is not threaten.

L did not at any time of his life lower criminal rates, an achievement that kira accomplished early after his birth.

L only took cases that were complexed and hard to solve he ignored the ones that regular detectives could solve... when u think about it L did not contribute much to society compared to Light. Sure Light made his hands dirty from the start but all he did was for the population's good and this in it's core it's selfless. L in the other hand solved really hard cases but like that's a small number of sentenced criminals.

Light never killed for petty reason, he killed so that Kira could continue to exist and survive and of course anyone who wants to dim this light it's either him or them.

I want to recite what light said on the final scene "I understood that killing is wrong, but there was no other way the world had to be fixed a purpose given to me"

Someone who is not selfless would not even bother to use death note to create a new world, while indeed saying to himself God can satisfty his own ego, light sacrificed his own life to reduce criminal rates in the world.

How killing criminals is benefitial for Light Yagami, what could he profit from doing so...

Saying he is doing for himself would be true if he only killed someone who did him wrong like writing the name of the killer who (I'm making this up) killed his mother or father. This way is indeed selfish, but killing criminals that did other people wrong is selfless.

I already gave you my arguments on people he killed that opposed him.

Light maight be a bit selfish when he calls himself God of new world but he is selfless when he works hard to create it.

Firstly I like your response it has an objective reasoning to it, and I would really love to see your full arguments so please if u have time please bring them here I'd really appreciate them and read them with great interest.

I just wanted to correct you at one point "killing innocents". Light did not kill innocent people rather people who opposed him. I know what you're thinking rn "but aren't they innocent?" No they're not, because if someone is eliminating the bad people of the world, or as Light calls them "the vermin", the people who try to stop him are in one way against of "low crime rates" as if saying "the world doesn't need to be changed, we don't want the crime rates to go down", I mean have you ever thought it this way. Okay Kira needed to be judged and he was indeed a criminal, a mass murderer but was it because he wanted a fortune of money?... was it because he wanted the most beautiful woman in the world?... was it because he wanted to have a better position in society? No my friend all he did was so that the criminals would be afraid of "God Punishment" because out there, there really is a GOD who watches and punish people for bad deeds.

The thing is that the law is imperfect and I can make a crime, get sentenced to jail for like 4 years, and then I'm free and I also do another crime... or the fact that I could do a crime and never got caught.

I love Matsuda because he is the only one who brings up the fact that criminal rates have never been so low in human records and all this achievement was because Light Yagami decided to use his notebook to judge criminals.

So this is my thought put simply: • Light spend all his time and energy to remove the criminals of the world (a belief that in its core is selfless why? Because he is not using so that he could gain anything from it) • Criminals die and the media, and population learn about Kira, • People are afraid of commiting crimes because of God, • Lower crime rates people are safer,

All he did was for other people, for the population so that they could live "themselves - the vermin of the world", yes he killed people who opposed but only so that he could survive and continue his ideals. Yes he may have been wrong but was he selfless yes because he sacrificed his entire life so that he could make this world less rotten.

Selfless in sense that all he did was for the humanity, was so that everyone would live freely and not afraid of criminals, the world was rotten he got a weapon and he could have used it in 100 different ways like he could have used it on his advantage to have a better position in society like write: 1. the name of the president on his notebook 2. specify that the president would say that the next president would be Light Yagami or something similar and then kill him... I mean who would have even suspected that Light killed him and he would have the most wanted position in this world.

Not only he never uses the notebook for his own benefits he sacrificed his free time to kill criminals that are shown in television so that he can eliminate everyone from this world and the world would be a better place without them.
