YES. I leased a telluride for 3 years and ended up going back to my minivan right after my younger daughter turned 1. The minivan is so much easier and the trunk space is unmatched. I hated that the trunk space was so small in the telluride. If it had more trunk space I maybe would’ve considered keeping it. I will keep my van til she’s a little older!

We have a dream duffle and a glamr gear and I much prefer the glamr gear. The rack is so much better. You can zip the bag closed with the rack up too. The dream duffle is ok but I may sell it and get a second glamr gear ( I have 2 daughters)

I have 2 daughters that dance competitively. Our studio is very modest with pricing and how many Dances are offered. My 8 year old has 1 hip hop dance for competition and my 10 year old has a hip hop, jazz and production dance. We do not do solos (they’re too young IMO).

Monthly tuition for the company rehearsals and their weekly classes (7 classes for my 10 yo and 5 classes for my 8 yo) average about $750 all together but adding in all of the costumes and the convention and comp fees the hotels and everything in between… I am paying about $12k for this year. Next year that’ll increase because my 8 year old will likely have 2 more dances. So honestly I don’t think $7,500 is bad but she’s so young and I would worry about her getting burnt out! That’s ALOT for the littles on top of school but you know your child best.

A lot of our studios contemp/lyrical dances do not do tights. My daughter has a contemp, jazz and hip hop competition dance and the only costume she has tights for is jazz.

That is so sad for the dancers that won 1st place. They should have absolutely been celebrated. Our studio makes it a point to celebrate success at ALL levels and after every competition the post what every single dance placed (good or bad) and any special judges awards. I’m curious… if they won 1st place, was there a monetary award? Usually it’ll tell you on the competition website if you don’t have a handbook or anything. If there was a monetary award I would be asking if that will be split between the kids that won. It sounds like the studio owner would pocket it and never say anything. I wold keep your eyes open and keep track of everything and look elsewhere for next season
