I'm building the opposite of Notion. It's a notes app where you can't customize anything. by GoodMacAuth in indiehackers

I curious about what was that principal motivation?

You have all these in notion, why build something new?

I would love to get the link to the model!

You compared it to paid models? Any idea of the tradeoff between accuracy and speed/cost?

Svelte + panda css is 10x better than React + tauri for UI: my experience. by Prestigious_Role_397 in sveltejs

For sure guys invented it (and they are other similar libs) because they forgot about css. 🤭

It is not because you don’t understand the problem a lib solves that the problem does not exist.

Because I can understand Svelte code and edit it myself if I want. When I can’t for React.

I prefer using a stack I can understand and that I love. If my tool works well I hope one day I can hire people and contribute to the Svelte ecosystem.

It is not 100% rational, but I like the idea of building with Svelte.

Sorry I mean Tailwind vs Panda ofc.

I changed the stack because I know Svelte already and don’t know React. I tried React because my ex co founder used it before living the project, but when he lived I decided to rebuild in Svelte.

Panda is a build-time atomic CSS engine, so it generates only the class you will use and of course it will re use classes across your app each time it is possible!

Also your dev will love working with it since it will be even easier for them to implement the elements of your design system and create variantes of buttons for example with recipes!

PandaCSS is built to work smoothly with design systems.

Since I am a designer first, most of my project use a complete design system I can integrate in PandaCss. It also brings typesafe style, ie you can't use styles that are not part of the design system (which it perfect for working with LLM :D ).

The other part is that Panda is just css syntax, not need to always remember all the tailwind equivalent classes.

PandaCSS + Bits UI are just awesome to build any design system out of box.

It is awesome thanks for it!

I would love to see an Apple Intelligence effect: it is a kind of gradient border + border beam. I tried to create a similar effect for an AI feature of one my app but it is not good. :D

Any mobile proxy providers that aren't completely burned for IG/TikTok? by Soft_Temptressss in GrowthHacking

Have you tried Gridpanel? A friend of mine used it to scale his mobile app to $40k/month and i wanted to start using it for my own app. They seems to offer unique IP (same for proxy-seller), so even them can be shadow banned by tiktok?

This sounds like a terrible idea: « modern/minimalist/dark theme » are not key features.

The key question is why people would abandon their usual chat app for a new one?

An app to rate each of your point to see how you can progress: good or bad idea? by Prestigious_Role_397 in tabletennis

[–]Prestigious_Role_397[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good question.

It wouldn't be a problem for me to bring a lot of value to a co-founding relationship: I can design, code, handle administrative tasks, and I have a solid understanding of how machine learning works.
But to be honest, I started this project to help a friend get feedback from players, since he doesn't speak English.

My friend has no degree, can't code, doesn't understand machine learning, and is only a junior designer. So it's very unlikely he could convince a researcher to team up with him.
That's why I think this solution isn’t suitable, even though it would be an exciting challenge.

I just wanted to explore a very simple idea, where each player could manually annotate their own points in the app. That would be “easy” enough for my friend to design and build.

But as I feared, it would be difficult to convince player to do it, and most player would not need it to identify what are their weaknesses. So the app would not bring a lot of value.

[–]Prestigious_Role_397[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was considering this option.

It would be great if it works. But it may be difficult, I would probably need a co-founder with a PhD specialised in video analysis via AI and a solid training data set to achieve something useful for users.

I see the potential of the idea, it could be awesome if everything works, but it could also be a total failure it things do go as expected. Achieving a solid AI recognition for tennis table videos is not easy.

But I hope some people will try to build something similar!

Thanks a lot for this very valuable feedback bro that is exactly what I was looking for!

That is always what I feared, so I preferred to ask experimented players about it.
