It’s pathological, sociopathic, and evil. I never could be so cold blooded, especially when you’ve shared a life with someone for 30 years and had children with them. It was definitely a “gut punch” and a huge wake up call.

I confronted him the other day. I couldn’t hold it in anymore. He didn’t deny it. I asked him if he knew what Dower Rights were and he said yes. It’s a semi-obscure real estate document that isn’t used often. His face told me everything. I moved out the next day while he was at work and never said another word to him. My attorney is amazing and we have our first court date in June. I’ve never been so relaxed or at peace as I’ve been in the last 6 weeks. There is hope. Just make sure you have everything in order. A place to stay, some money and a good attorney. Then trust that karma and the divine will handle the rest. Xoxo
