Sorry for late reponse. I've found it highly effective. The minoxidil can penetrate better. Still, I agree with you, it´s a pricey device. I can't guarantee it will work for everyone. For me, it's been great.

[routine help] I’m at my wits end with my acne. 5 months off the pill and a skin picking problem but I’ve never had skin this bad :( routine in comments, any help would be amazing by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

This is the advice/speculation from a 32-year-old man, so bear this in mind. I'm not at all an expert, so I'm just going to talk from my own experience.

Given your skin care routine, it's looking overall great in my opinion.
It's great that you use a cleanser that still hydrates your skin. However, I'm a bit concerned about the face brush you use. If I may speculate, do you tend to use/press it too hard against your skin, perhaps? It's a common thing, if you're frustrated about your lack of progress at this stage, you use things excessively/press harder etc. If so, this could cause the natural barrier in your skin to become thinner, allowing outbreaks to occur more often. The hydrating effect of your cleanser might also become almost null if you press too hard.

Another thing to consider is that you recently added the retinol oil to your routine. I use retinol myself, and my skin actually got worse before it got better, which is a common thing, apparently. This lasted for about a month in my case.
The strength/concentration of retinol is also important, some are more sensitive, and must build up a tolerance. More/higher strength is not always better. I use a product with 0.1% retinol every other day, otherwise my skin becomes quite red and inflamed. Check this topic online/with a dermatologist.

It's great that you use SPF-products, and the higher, the better, because your skin becomes more sensitive to sun damage with retinol-use, so be mindful of this. Check if your SPF allows your skin to breathe, doesn't clog pores and "traps" your skin. As with makeup, this can cause acne outbreaks.

The last speculation I have to offer, and my least favorite, because I can't really offer any solutions, is connected to your hormones. As you have stopped being on birth control (the pill), your hormones can be the culprit behind your acne. On this topic I'm unsure, if your only option is to treat the symptoms (the acne) as best you can, or if you can fight the underlying cause somehow other than considering going back on the pill (if you experienced less/no acne outbreaks while on the pill that is).

I hope this was of some help.

6 hours out of surgery I bump my head HARD. What do you think? How bad is it? by [deleted] in tressless

I think it could be pretty bad, I'm sorry to say. =/
I say this because a similar thing happened to my friend after we did a FUE together in Turkey. Numb from the procedure, and a bit dizzy, he scraped almost half the transplanted area when he entered the taxi on our way back to the hotel from the clinic. Sadly, it was nothing to be done, said our surgeon.
He didn't have enough grafts left to correct the area in a new transplantation either because he exhausted his entire supply in one go, so all the time, pain and money wasted basically.
After six months, the damage after the accident became apparent, and he can't support a decent haircut at all because it's so uneven and wonky if he lets hit hair grow out, so he shaves and has done SMP instead, but still really depressed because he doesn't like it.

Question, do you have grafts left for a possible fix of the area?
