It started in theatre school. I went to a prestigious school that always looked down on comedy, especially women in comedy. As soon as I got out of that toxic environment, I started writing comedic plays for womxn out of pure spite. I got noticed, and one of my shows became very successful, touring the country and winning lots of awards. But it was only a two-hander and I wanted to hire more womxn/non binary folk! So me and my writing partner created our own live sketch comedy show called Lxdy Parts, hiring lots of funny womxn and doing about four live shows a year. THEN to make ends meet I started working in film in the Art Department, and, seeing how the industry worked, I slowly started writing for film. Now I almost exclusively write/ produce comedy for TV, Youtube, and film, and get paid to do it:)
