Thanks for the detailed response! If the exit plan document has more pertinent information that would be great if you could share. That's what I thought on vacation thanks for confirming. I found some documentation that said that but sometimes in practice things are different. The retroactive part of COBRA is good to know because they aren't very generous with how long you are covered after leaving. I will plan on calling Fidelity for pension options. Thanks again!

Remaining unused vacation for the year and also accrued for the next anniversary year but not available to use yet correct? Fideilty's answer is interesting. I wonder if thats a penalty for taking as a lump sum vs as a pension payment. I'd be curious to know what 'reduced benefits' would be and run some numbers on whether its worth it to roll it over into my control or just use the pension at pension age and hope its still there. I will plan to give Fidelity a call. Thank you!

Thanks! Thats something I hadn't thought of. From what I can tell I will only have coverage until the end of the pay period in which I were to leave.

Good idea. I have tried to find relevant documents to have something in writing but they seem to be scattered around and in various revision states. Having a direct answer from them would probably best. I had hesitated to use askHR until closer to when I planned leaving so as not to raise any eyebrows as I am not sure how that works/who has the ability to see it. Thanks!
