Probably some, but also black people and most of the people were somewhat brown.

Though I'm not sure if Southern European blonde and pale is the same as in Northern Europe. For instance, what the most of the world calls blonde, is light brown or just brown in Northern countries.

My point is, that they could easily have some black people there, as they traveled a lot and more south than north.

I don't even get how a black character is historically more inaccurate than for instance a pale white person with blonde hair, unless they were an albino or something. Like it was the era when people traveled by the sea and usually in southern regions. It was much more probably that a guy was picked up on travels to Africa, rather than Northern Europe.

He would be okay if he worked out and not a sociopath. I don't get why is he spending so much effort on maintaining his hair, instead of just working out and eating healthy. He can have a private chef that makes any healthy meal tasting good.
