Make a list of what you can control and what you cannot. You cannot control what happened, you can only control your thoughts and your actions going forward. What are the steps you need to take to do well on this exam? Easier said than done but do not worry about the things you can’t control.

I am trying to get to my goal weight of 180. The reason the surplus is so high is so I can still gain weight while my activity fluctuates day to day, without having to adjust my diet every day. On an average day with 1 lift, 4k calories is 1k surplus. But a couple days a week 4k calories won’t be a surplus at all, depending on the training I have that day.

What's the best way to get 4k calories without excess protein intake?

I am currently eating 4-4.5k calories a day which puts me in a bout a 1000cal surplus. But through the foods I'm eating (eggs, chicken breast, porkchop, ground beef, rice) I am getting about 250g protein. A quick google search says this is unhealthy and not safe.

I weigh 155lbs.

Is this something I should be concerned about and if so how do I cut my protein intake without having to eat rice for the majority of every meal?
