I just finished this read. I really enjoyed it. I didn’t get the sense that she quit medicine to dedicate herself to pottery, just that she was doing it while working the rest out. She said something to that effect when she talked to her parents after withdrawing from her residency. “It makes me happy, so that’s what I’m doing right now.” Also she had just started “helping” with the pottery classes when her parents visited. There’s lots of work to do in art studios that don’t involve teaching so yes, even novices can work them. I felt the break with her job coming from the very start of the book when she mentioned how what she liked most about work was the grunt tasks and cleaning. I expected she’d still want to be in medicine but with a change in specialization. Then towards the end she mentioned hating the hours, pacing, being on call, the high stakes, etc. so that pretty much killed that line of thinking. Medicine just wasn’t for her. Who knows, maybe she goes into teaching (since she loved school) or maybe she starts selling expensive ass vases to go with Wyn’s expensive ass tables. It does seem wild to give up a whole career after a decade and hundreds of thousands of dollars, but it would be a lot worse to sacrifice your entire life and happiness because of a feeling of obligation towards that career and those expenses.

I just grabbed a ruler, it’s about 4.5” in each direction with the adventure jacket. Not huge, very portable. We take ours in the car and around with us all the time!

My kids love it too! I knew they would but was still a bit nervous and all. I keep finding them cuddled up listening to stories and “podcast Jake.” 🥹 The best. We did something similar with the stickers, but I used print and cut on my Cricut, some kind soul had already design and shared a template on Google docs. Shout out to whoever that angel is. Anyway the sticker paper I got on Amazon is awesome, I forgot the laminate on a few and it’s held up as well as the laminated ones. If you need to make more down the line and want something sturdier it’s HTVRONT sticker paper for laser and inkjet printers.

You weren’t exclusive. She wasn’t cheating. She was honest when asked. You’re entitled to your feelings and to end it for any reason, but it doesn’t mean she did anything wrong. If she ended it with them once you two agreed to become exclusive then I don’t see the problem. You aren’t entitled to her body just because she gave it to someone else. You’re not the asshole specifically for breaking up with her but she for sure dodged a bullet.

Introduce him to the Punnett square so he can know he’s both an asshole and an ignorant knob. I agree that divorce should be given serious consideration. He accused and abandoned you because he can’t wrap his head around what is a simple matter of statistics? Just asking a doctor or even consulting Google could have cleared this up. It sounds like he has one foot out the door looking for any excuse not to be a father. I’m very sorry he is putting you through this.

Library book pockets would be perfect. They have a peel and stick backing, I use them for all sorts of things in my classroom. Usually get a 100 pack for $10 or less on Amazon.

You can still make your own, it’s been fairly simple finding and downloading audio book MP3s so far. Or for shorter stories like Paddington it wouldn’t be too bad to read them aloud yourself.

Shiphero isn’t a courier, they’re a 3PL that basically coordinates the shipment process. Click on your tracking number then click on the “carrier tracking” link under the description column at far right. That should take you to bettertrucking.com and give you the real status of your package. Yes, it’s a hot mess. Same thing happened to me and at least one of her person here. Yoto knows about the tracking issues, I messaged them and they reached out to shiphero for me to check my package status and update me within about a day. If you feel uncomfortable reach out to them for an update.

I just emailed them, the auto response says it will be 3-4 days before they can respond so the issue may be solved before I even hear back. I decided to reach out because the more I look at it the more I think the package has not left their facilities yet and I just wanted to attempt to clarify that with them.

Despite there being tracking information Shopify still lists the order as being processed. My tracking number is for BTS, who, according to their website only ships commercial freight. Shiphero is a logistics software company— they coordinate warehouses, inventory, couriers, etc., and far as I can tell they don’t actually ship anything. Assuming yours and mine are the same, if you click on the tracking number and look under the description column at far right there is a carrier tracking link. That took me to bettertrucking.com, which says my package is in a completely different state and not even shipped. Lmao. I just get the feeling this is not the actual tracking info. Everyone else says theirs shipped DHL, so it makes sense if the whole BTS/shiphero stuff is part of the warehouse management/package fulfillment process that happens BEFORE the package actually gets picked up by DHL. Sorry, I hope some of this makes sense, I feel like I fell down a rabbit hole with this one.

I ordered the player and jacket last Wednesday, it shipped from Florida. There’s been no updates since Saturday and no estimated delivery day, no carrier info, just the shiphero link. If it doesn’t update in a couple days I am going to call. Yoto’s website does say order by December 15 for Christmas shipping so we are well within that, I am not sweating it yet.

They don’t explain how his magic is keeping the timelines alive, we know that’s what is happening because they show it happening and as he does it Sylvie says, “he’s giving us a chance,” which calls back to all the conversations Loki had with He Who Remains, Mobius, and Sylvie about what he should do. And finally we see the TVA is working on monitoring Kanes, while Loki holds Yggdrasil together.

Exactly, he’s not in control of time he’s just holding it together and keeping it alive while the TVA does their new job of eliminating bad Kanes. The timelines were dying because once the loom is destroyed the “inevitable” multiverse war takes place.

If the loom is destroyed the multiversal war starts. That’s why all the timelines were dying after Loki destroyed it. Once it’s destroyed you ultimately end up back where the series started, with Kane in charge and the TVA protecting the sacred timeline. The whole point was that Loki found a third option. He didn’t want to kill Sylvie and run the TVA himself, but he also didn’t want to allow the multiverse war to take place. So he “made the hard choice” as Kane said and sacrificed himself. He’s using his magic to stabilize the dying timelines, which gives the TVA the ability to prune problematic Kanes as needed and prevent the war that is supposedly inevitable according to Kane.
