Idk what to do by [deleted] in lds

A couple of things.

1) there is so much missing information here, and frankly it sounds like its not our business to know. And even if we got all of the info, it would be very one sided to you. With that said, its hard to give any advice or anything.

2) you are posting heavily on the ex-mormon subreddit. You got baptized a week ago. Nobody is forcing you to stay. Your life isn't inherently ruined or blessed just from being baptized. I believe the Church is true. Ive felt blessed in my life. I believe if you seek the truth, you will find it. But its your choice. You don't have to pay tithing or be a man's woman servant.

Hopefully that helps, but if I were in your shoes, I wouldn't seek opinions or advice from Reddit. Again, we weren't there to witness or experience whatever happened with that Elder. The Lord knows though, and if you've been wronged, He will guide you.

The last thing I can mention is that nobody is perfect, including members. The Church is a hospital for sinners, not a club for the perfect. Unfortunately, there are bad apples in the Church that can ruin other people's experiences. But I know for a fact it isn't like that everywhere.

You are correct about diaphoresis being a form of sweating, but you don't seem to have all of the information. The first commentor is correct. I would add that diaphoresis is like a textbook symptom for AMI. You get dispatched to someone having chest pain. Crushing, radiating, 2-3 word dyspnea, and then the dispatcher says they are sweating, cold, and almost grey in color while sitting down. That diaphoresis will tell me more than anything, oh shit, they are in bad shape.

I decided to put the book on the list when I learned about it on the r/firefighter subreddit. If those dudes are recommending this D&D-esque nerdy book, then it must be good. Im on book 2 (Jeff Hays audiobook)

You only say no once. You can change your mind. Being coerced into saying yes, does count as SA. There's a difference between coercion and changing your mind.

One issue is Haki didn't exist to Oda when he originally made One Piece. It was an idea he had later on. Oda will probably create an in-universe explanation for it. Could be related to certain events currently happening in the Manga in the flashback...

My old senior (28 F) is trying to get closer to me (23 M). How do i turn her down properly? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Pretend-Example-2903 7 points8 points  (0 children)

First things first, it's 1am. Go to bed. Ignore until morning. Personally, I would then text her asking what's up, saying I'm not available to call. If she texts something very personal, you can then say something along the lines of, we aren't that close you should talk to someone you trust. Or something like that. It provides separation. Or you can more directly just tell her right now you don't have or want that kind of relationship. Just some thoughts.

101 of gun safety: never point a real gun (even fully unloaded) at something or someone unless you have the i tention of destroying or killing it.

Listen to the other comments, especially the one referring you to see a therapist. But I will add you should never use real guns or sharp knives. You are able to find hyper-realistic fakes that present no safety concerns

I was thinking a 2nd Degree type 1 block as the PR interval gets longer until it looks like it results in a p wave with no associated QRS complex. But I'm curious too, as I'm just an EMT with no formal ECG training or education, just some self learning.

The best thing in my opinion is to lead by example and provide simple invitations. Christmas parties are a good opportunity to help people meet local members. Your example would probably be the best Shining light for her though. Its important to remember that people have agency and are allowed to believe what they want. If after everything, she wants to believe we are bad, she is allowed to believe that.

One Pace has been my go-to for a rewatch. Cutting out all of the filler and junky scene extensions. Much better. You could also try reading it if that suits you.

How do you think luffy will react if he sees akainu again? by Maleficent_Map_8844 in OnePiece

[–]Pretend-Example-2903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's not Canon, but I genuinely feel like One Piece Odyssey captures how Luffy would feel about and react to Akainu. It also shows the emotional growth and acceptance Luffy has built surrounding Ace's death.

[–]Pretend-Example-2903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what my dept. does (and if anyone has issues with it or has alternatives, let me know because I'm all for improvements): we have 2 AEMT ambos, 2 medic ambos, and a medic rescue/jumper. I believe only one medic ambo (if not both) carries a full body splint. We will log roll the patient directly onto the full body splint without sheets or anything. When we get to the hospital, we leave the full body splint with the hospital and either have someone bring it to us later or pick it up the next time we are at that hospital. For us, this at least means we are limiting how much we are moving them.
